"This hotel is really good. Maybe it's because the hotels I stayed at in Paris were too small, but arriving in Germany, this hotel was spacious and very clean. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The breakfast was also decent, and the staff always gave me bottled mineral water. The owner seems to be Chinese and was very friendly. It was a really great experience, and I'd recommend it to my friends."

"It's close to Cologne Cathedral, and you could even see a little bit of the top of the cathedral from the balcony!
Because the room was spacious, the heating wasn't very effective.
Also, the entrance to the hotel was a little hard to find.
There was a supermarket called REWE downstairs.
I was able to use hot water from the kettle in what seemed to be the breakfast area in front of the front desk."

Hygiene: The room was thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained.
Service: The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly warm and welcoming, with a friendly attitude during both check-in and check-out.
Facilities: Basic toiletries were provided, and the room had decent soundproofing, making for a quiet night's sleep.
Environment: The hotel is conveniently located not far from the train station and city center, about a fifteen-minute walk, which makes getting around easy. It's also quiet as it's not directly in the bustling downtown area.

Out of the many hotels I've stayed at during my ten-plus days in Europe, this was the first one where staff proactively offered to help with my luggage. The service was excellent, and the gentleman at the front desk spoke a bit of Chinese, which made communication much easier. The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to the church.

Overall the room and cleaning service was good. However, we heard someone trying to open our door during midnight!! Weird thing was on the first day the door lock was working fine, but the second day it was broken so we could not lock the door from inside. Highly doubted that someone internal broke the lock and gave the key to someone external.
It was quite surprising to me that a 5-star hotel doesn’t seem safe. :(
Other than that, location is convenient.

Guest UserOverall, it was excellent. The hotel has many rooms, and the rooms themselves are very spacious. Housekeeping cleans daily. There's a restaurant on the first floor with good food, making it definitely worth a stay. It's also very close to the Cologne Exhibition Centre, with a subway station right outside the hotel that gets you there in just 3 stops. Getting to Cologne Central Station is also super convenient, as there's a direct bus right in front of the hotel!

I come here for check in around 3:30pm, there are a group of elders checking in front me, I waited around 30minutes there. I think the reception is a responsible one but he can either speed up the progress, skip some of the elders questions, and also hotel to consider add one more staff there to support. The long waiting time of check-in delay my travel visit here.
The room is very clean, and also new. The place is a little far away by not that far from main city.
The room windows are all locked, it is a bit frustrated.
The hot water suspended, and when i called reception for 5 times, they finally pick my phone up saying technical issues into 8am , which i have to leave the hotel at 8:15am for my flight...
Finally, the breakfast is insanely good! You guys can have a try.

Ich war in Zimmer 56 untergebracht und habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre, die durch das Zimmer durch die Dachgeschoss entstand, war einfach toll. Das Zimmer war sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und perfekt für einen entspannten Aufenthalt.
Das Hotel überzeugt zudem durch seine zentrale, aber ruhige Lage und den freundlichen Service. Ich würde das Midtown Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder!

WellTravelledGringoDon’t stay here in summer it’s absolute hell. It doesn’t have any working air con regardless of what they say and the room is 28-30c at night! The hotel owners need to spend a few million euros overhauling the entire system and it’s obvious they won’t ever do that
Sadly because of this the front desk staff bare the brunt of complaints therefore creating a toxic work environment the room itself is nice but sadly would never book again during summer months

A rather basic hotel, but worthy of its price. The hotel is suitable for people with a limited budget but who want to live here for a long time. In addition to ordinary hotel rooms, there are also public living rooms and public bathrooms (that is, there are also rooms without bathrooms). The overall feel is more like a student dormitory. The room was very cold when I arrived. I searched for a long time before I realized that the heating was not turned on. So my impression of this hotel is cold and bleak, and I guess I won't go there again in the future. But it would be unfair to say that this hotel has nothing good to offer.

Five-star praise to Ctrip, because the ticket rescheduled to refund one night, the hotel refunded 10%, the rest of Ctrip refunded. For the hotel, in addition to being more rigid in this regard, the breakfast is not very good, the others are still very satisfied. Clean and tidy, you can walk to the Cologne Exhibition Center and Daoyitz Railway Station, and it is quiet and the environment is beautiful, especially like the scenery outside the window.
