Overall, it's okay. The price is relatively cheap in the capital. I thought it wouldn't be a good stay at this price. The overall feeling is okay, but the disposable items are a bit rough. Fortunately, I brought them all. The bathroom is a bit dim and hot. There is still plenty of water. There is an infinity swimming pool on the roof to enjoy the night view🌃. Nice hotel, staff really helpful (e.g. one lent me their personal umbrella during the heavy rain), rooms clean and large, bbc on TV, large laptop compatible safe in wardrobe, and a curry house literally behind the hotel 50ft down an alley. Location central. COVID precautions are in place but not an issue, good to see Sri Lanka reopening up to the world.

We had a great stay at Lafala Hotel. Its 3km south of the City center, its close to the ocean and the next beach is just 500m south. Plenty of supermarkets and shops around, it was a good location to start our Sri Lanka trip. The breakfast was good, the room was big, the bed comfortable. Staff was friendly and helped us with sightseeing and train questions. I already booked again for the last day of our trip when we come back to Colombo.

It is perfectly positioned with close proximity to transport, restaurants, supermarkets and a short stroll to the beach. The room was very clean and spacious and had all the facilities that a hotel room could offer. The breakfast was tasty and varied from day to day. The highlight is the staff, all of whom who were polite, helpful, and efficient. The price was very reasonable. I have stayed in this hotel on many previous occasions, and I will keep going there while I am in Colombo. I can recommend this hotel to singles/couples/families. They will not be disappointed.

We recently stayed at this hotel where we choose to celebrate our anniversary, it was the perfect place for us as all health & safety measures were of high standards. The room was spacious well cleaned and sanitized .Our whole stay was relaxing enjoyable and for sure we will be staying here on our next visit as we enjoyed the atmosphere very much. We would like to specially mention about” Shiva” at the front desk who dealt with our booking to the point of checking he is very knowledgeable, friendly and had great customer service. Although the departure was a bit unsatisfying , as when I requested for a late checkout until 1pm I , was informed by the front desk (lady) that I have to pay half the room rate just for an additional half hour as she offered me the departure time until 12.30pm which sounds a bit crazy as the arrival time says 2pm LCO could be charged if the client exceeds this timings . Would appreciate if the management could consider the above request as it could be managed case by case. Overall we were so happy with the service , staff and the hotel.
