We stayed here from boxing day and are here till end of first week in jan. The rooms are lovely and large, with beds made daily but sadly floors swept once a week, bedding changed every 5 days and if for some reason you need them doing out of these days then you pay extra. Food is not much choice and never hot, just warm enough to know it was hot at one point. Apart from the station where the food (egg at breakfast, meat in the evening) is cooked in front of you, the lady who works this station is lovely and polite and an asset to this hotel. Bring a towel for the pool or pay 2€ per day to hire. The corridors are all long and will be a reminder of the film 'the shining' as you walk down them. But the ignorance of some parents allowing their kids to run up and down screaming is reminiscent of being in a school playground. Then add to the noise don't expect a lie in if you are assigned at even number room due to the building work going on next door. The staff overall are OK but some just really need a lesson in how to communicate. The 2nd manager as she called herself, when we made a complaint about me being pushed by a staff member and not even a sorry was uttered, considering im on crutches and was carrying a plate, i was lucky to of kept my balance, basically told us we were wrong and no one complains about the staff, we must remember they have been working hard over Christmas and are tired. This same woman was aggressive and shouted at my partner on new years eve, she needs some major training in how to deal with customers. We are now using this hotel, that we paid good money to have a nice relaxed holiday in, as a room only and are out all day only to return to go to bed. We have NEVER stayed in such an awful place and we have been to many 2 star places that are better staffed and facilities are of a higher standard.
