Staff was not responsive to loud and obnoxious guests next door throughout my stay. The safe wasn’t working and even though scheduled for a repair, it was never fixed. Staff was hit or miss. Food servers were not attentive to orders. I will not return.

One of the best beach hotels in San Juan. The ocean-view room is spectacular if you get a room on 3rd floor and higher. The 5th floor was great. They do have a nice restaurant and other restaurants within walking distance. Valet parking is available for $30

There is good but more bad with our stay here. Let’s start with the not so great- the fire alarm went off four times during our stay (the first time it was at 1:15am and it stayed on for around 7 minutes.) We were out at the swimming pool several times. The last time we ordered three drinks- they were horrible and the staff was rude. They charged $41.00 (before tip) for the drinks. I thought “if you’re going to charge that much then at least have a real bartender.” The men out there serving us were unfriendly and you could tell that unless you were an attractive woman then you would have to get their attention. The bathroom shower glass wall was too short it made it difficult not to get water over the floor. The room required you to have your card in for lights but the problem was there were no lamps near the bed so you would have to get up and turn off the lights and then walk back to the bed. The light on the phone by the bed was so bright we had to cover it each time. We ate at The Social three different times. It’s pricey and the wait staff was not always pleasant and one waitress was not accommodating. Once we had an extremely pleasant waiter from India. The good- the beds were comfortable and for the most part it was comfortable. I thought the staff at the front desk was friendly. And, the view of the ocean was fantastic! But, the beach is very rocky and not a swimmable beach. Would I stay here again- probably not. There’s too many things they need to tweak.
