A lovely country motel, the managers were really helpful and lovely. The room was an older style but the beds were SO comfortable and there was ample cutlery and crockery, a toaster, kettle and microwave. I loved delicious biscuits they left for us and fresh milk was such a nice touch. The Motel is on a busy road, but we heard nothing all night. We were in room 23. I will say that the bathrooms need to be renovated , but the shower was hot and had great pressure. I’d highly recommend this Motel when visiting Coonabarabran.

This is the second time we have stayed. Rooms are newly renovated, except for bathrooms, and extremely comfortable.
We asked for quiet rooms, the manager contacted us in advance to say the King rooms we booked were the closest to the road and she would let us change to rooms at the back when we arrived, should we wish to do so. We ended up staying in the rooms we had stayed in in the past, closer to the road. Sunday night was very quiet, monday there was qiet rumbles of the B-Doubles on the highway but nothing that would interfere with sleep.
On departure the manager asked whether the noise was an issue. When we said, surprisingly not, she explained that the motels up the road often had complaints became they were located where the 100kmh zone vhanges to 50kmh so the trucks are going faster and braking, so noisier. This motel is in the 50kmh zone so trucks are going slower and are quieter. Makes sense.
Bathrooms are original, very retro but very well maintained and fantastic shower pressure.
We will definitely stay again on our next trip through Coonabarabran .

Stopped for an overnight stay on our way up the Newell to Brisbane and we were delighted with our choice. We had a large room with a superb split system air con and good comfy beds with crisp sheets. Check in was easy and friendly and the room was quiet too. We ate in the restaurant too and recommend the food as tasty and great value. We didn’t see many alternatives in town either so that’s a double bonus. Will definitely stay again next time.
