"If you want to be time-warped back to the 1970s, head for this motel. I asked for a quiet room towards the rear of the motel to reduce nighttime highway noise. The room I was allotted was very old fashioned with lots of drab brick, wood panelling and dull decor. Room lighting was dim. The bathroom was also pretty ancient: step-over shower/mini-bath was brick walled but water pressure fine. The tv did not work until switched on and off a few times. A sign said to use the water in the mini fridge for the electric kettle but there was no water there. The room was fairly clean overall but smelled musty. On the positive side, there was a new toaster, and adequate toiletries in the bathroom. The a/c unit heated the room ok. I would stay somewhere else next time through this lovely town. "

"Drink prices great $7 schooner can get take aways. Good nightly food specials. Young friendly staff, Venue location in middle of town opposite Clock Tower. Large dining area. Didn't wait long for meals. Crumbed lamb cutlets very good. Lots of choice for take away drinks at fair prices."

"The Warrumbungles Mountain motel is 30 minutes and very easy to navigate to the park. The new management are a young couple and very lovely. We loved having a comfortable bed and pillows. Very hot water after a long day. They will help out were possible. Will see you again soon. Thank you. "

"This was my second brief stay, two years later. Still a lovely, quiet, clean, extremely well appointed and comfortable place to stay. Despite sharing common spaces like bathroom, kitchen, dining and lounge, it is an impeccably clean and well organised place. A breath of fresh air! I also found this new brand of drink at the IGA down the today, it was lovely! Thank you for your friendly welcome and superb hospitality."
