Hotel Sanders

We loved staying at the Sanders Hotel! The rooms were quite large and the bathroom was large and well appointed . The hotel staff was exceptional and were eager to help us with everything from directions, restaurants and walking sights. I would highly recommend the The Sanders Hotel when visiting Copenhagen !

We are a couple in our sixties who are used to staying in luxury hotels. Sanders advertises as such, but here we were deeply disappointed. The hotel has a really cozy and bright rooftop bar with real plants and a nice, bright lounge area with artificial plants where you can eat dinner. The food is really good, the staff are nice and service minded. But otherwise the hotel is very dark but still cozy. Some areas are run down. You don't have long cracks in leather and bamboo furniture, for example, in a luxury hotel. Our room was very dark and cold and not cozy at all. On the TV there were only the usual Danish programmes, the free Swedish, Norwegian and German channels and then CNN News. Luxury hotels have the full package of English channels including MTV and VH1. The bed was very hard and we were completely stiff in our bodies in the morning from having slept so badly. The bathroom was large but the toilet itself was behind a door where there was limited space and no sink. The breakfast was not buffet but ala carte. We were somewhat disappointed by that. Normally we usually enjoy the morning in the room, but here we checked out right after breakfast, as we didn't want to be in the cold and unattractive room. We think the overnight stay was far from worth the money and we will not come again. Compared to, for example, 71 Nyhavn Hotel, Nimbs, Guldsmedens Hoteller and D'angleterre, which we consider to be real luxury hotels, Sanders lags far behind and is far too expensive.

Hotel Sanders was wonderful! I travel a lot, and they were superb. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. The hotel facility is charming with character. Great onsite brekkie at rooftop terrace and relaxing sidewalk bar space. Would absolutely stay here again!

Very cosy hotel, friendly staff, it is only complicated to find a parking spot in the streets around the hotel.
