Copenhagen Downtown Hostel

The lights in the room didn't work. The room was small. The shower was dirty. I'm glad it was cheap. The location is good. The exterior is cute. Tivoli Gardens is close by.

Stayed here for one night while transiting in Copenhagen. At around 2,000 yen per night, it's expensive for a normal hostel, but I think it's a good value considering the prices in Denmark, Northern Europe. The location is perfect in the center and the bed is simple, making it perfect for one night without meals, but not suitable for more than two nights. It has all the basics of a hostel and has good Wi-Fi, so it is recommended for people who are used to staying in hostels.

Check-in is only available at 15:00, so luggage can only be stored in the paid locker downstairs. My large suitcase can be stored in the locker for 6 hours for 40 Danish kroner. Maybe because of this, everyone was queuing up at the front desk to check in before 15 o'clock. This is the first hotel I have encountered in Europe that charges for luggage storage, but the room price is the lowest. When looking for the hotel, the front desk is a bit difficult to find. It is the front desk of the restaurant on the first floor. Walk in with confidence. The room is on the right side of the restaurant door. You have to go upstairs. The girls in the next room were very noisy at night, but I could bear it with earplugs. The bathroom only has a ceiling spray, one towel on the shelf and one on the bed. At first I thought there was only one towel, so I asked the front desk that there was a charge. It seemed that various supplies were charged separately and there was a price list. There is no kettle, so I feel embarrassed every time I ask for hot water (free) at the front desk😓

We bought a double bed, there was also a bunk bed in the room, we were worried that someone would come, but no one came, other than that it was nice, it is important to take slippers with you when you go.

I was unable to check in because my flight ticket was canceled on the first day, but there was a message asking the merchant to reserve the room (double room with private bathroom) for the next day. However, when I went there the next day, I found that the room was not reserved, but a room for four people was arranged for us. The mixed dormitory (shared bathroom) had a strong smell, and there were beds that had not been cleaned. We went down to see her again, and she changed us to a slightly better one (four-person female dormitory in a shared bathroom), but the window kept leaking all night. It was blowing so loudly that I basically didn’t sleep (checked in at 10pm and checked out at 6:30am). Finally, after negotiating with the platform, the hotel refunded us the money for the first night, but it didn’t meet expectations (the first night Half of the price will be refunded, and the difference will be refunded on the second night). After the second negotiation, the platform compensated us for the price difference. Overall, the hotel is not that good and I would not recommend it. However, the customer service on the Ctrip platform is very good and they are actively solving problems.
