This hotel is a great respite away from the city. While Copenhagen is lovely, this oasis made the trip all the better. The outside is less than impressive and the entrace is on a main street and you must come in from the other side, but no bother. Lobby is tiny and cramped, but staff is pleasant enough, not overly attentive or interested in providing 5 star service. We had a room on the 6th floor, a suite at the end of the hall. The elevator is TINY and one of them didn't work. I read other reviews that this is a common problem here and only one elevator works at any one time. There are easy to use stairs though. However, the elevator never goes to the 6th floor and we had to walk up a flight after. The pool area is truly the highlight of the hotel, so nice and never super crowded. Pool is amazing and we loved the Bali-like experience. Sauna and steam on the roof cool too. We loved our room, however it is clearly getting a bit aged. Lots of scuffs, damage to surfaces, faded floors, etc... Needs love for sure. We appreciated having the extra space, and while the bed was very comfy and condusive to sleep, the large furniture really takes up alot of space and if you're on one side of the bed, you will stub your toe and hit limbs on things. Not great. Also, and I know its Europe, but the bathroom is TINY. Difficult do to anything in there, and the large stone sink takes up too much space. Also the shower curtain is gross and just hangs on you during shower. Restaurant is ok for dinner, there's way better places in CPH. But breakfast was really good. My overall comment is that this is NOT a five star hotel. I'd say its three or four at best. The service, furnishings, and overall vibe is not what one looks for when seeking an example of such a hotel. I think with some updates and rebranding away from that, this hotel could be improved. Very glad I stayed and would come again!
