Copley Inn & Suites, Copley - Akron

This Hotel is very nice, clean, and very customer oriented. Under the Manger Vijah Shah my wife and I were treated with the Ultimate Respect, and accommodated with hospitality and made a hard move very comfortable. The entire staff is very nice and they make your business so very much appreciated.

Do not stay here! Checked in 9:00 at night. Go to room to find hotel has no running water. No disclosure made during check-in to us or later check-ins. We're then told "City was changing a meter and water would be off for a few hours". Water working on awakening. Told all was well. Return 11.00 next night to again find no water in room. Again, no notification to us or other customers. Told boiler wasn't working. Requested reduction in rates for two nights, no water. Tough luck! I would not stay at this place ever again. No disclosures of known problems + unwillingness to make some price adjustment evidences management I prefer not to deal with.

If your looking for a place that comes with roommates you have arrived! Bed bugs and roaches. I at first was taken aback by the room I was given initially. Dirty towels on bathroom floor and unmade beds. These things could happen so i went to front desk who put me in another room. I fell asleep as it was 3am and i had just ended a work shift. The next morning i awake and go to front desk to extend my stay. I then return to room to shower and ready myself for the new day. I grabbed the towel, roaches scatter. I go to put my clothes back on to alert management and to my disgust i find bed bugs! I documented all and took photos. It is now 2pm and check out was at 11am however i already went down to pay for another day. I go to tell management and ask for refund for that day as I was not interested to stay in an unhealthy environment. I was told to wait as maintenance investigates when all i needed was a refund and apology. Instead i had the opportunity to speak with the most rude individual i have met in the hospitality industry. The "Manager" told me that since it was 3 hours past check out, i would be charged for a half day. I flat out was stolen from. I did NOT ask for previous night refund just the day i had just reserved for. I will most certainly be reporting this place to the health department first thing in the morning.

You definitely get what you pay for. Literally everything about this hotel was dirty. The bed was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete and our toilet didn't flush. If you're passing through Akron, spend ten extra dollars and pass this hotel by.

The staff was very kind. The hotel is in a great location. I cannot write the food because I chose to take myself out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room was spacious. It is obviously an old hotel. Although updates have been done it's still obvious it's an older Hotel. The room was clean. I stayed on the third floor with an inn hotel entrance. A lot of the rooms have outside entrances. For safety purposes I was glad the manager chose to put me on the third floor. There are cameras in the hallway that light up when you're walking down the hall. I like that because I was alone and it made me feel safe. I could go into detail about little things that I preferred to be a different way but I won't because if it were that important to me I could have and should have stayed at a more expensive hotel. I will say this hotel met my immediate need which was to be by myself to be comfortable and relax and I was. A side note they could change the bed comforters Maybe by new ones that would be a good idea and sheets. They were all clean just old. If I ever needed to stay at this hotel again I would because I know what I need to know. I'm not getting them a bad review because I feel like they went out of their way to help me and to make me comfortable. So if you're just looking for a place to chill out don't have to have luxuries Etc but are in a great area where you can walk to restaurants or a 2-minute drive shopping Etc then Copley in and Suites would be just fine.

Recent stay for college orientation and the location was convenient for us. The parking lot is small, the entire hotel smelled like stale cigarette smoke, the hallways were dim and the hotel is in need of remodeling which it appears they may be trying to do but you still have to pay full price. Our room was dilapidated except the carpet which appeared new. Bathroom had no mirror, tub was dirty/stained, bathroom walls needed paint and only one light in the bath room was working. The light in the entry to the room did not have a switch to turn it off, I had to unscrew the bulb. There was a patch job on the ceiling that was still cracked. Breakfast offered as an amenity but they were not serving when we stayed. We will never stay here again and questioning Comfort Suite hotels because we have had other hotel issues in the past. I told the front desk this same information as we left, and we sent this same information to the chain review site but got a less than expected response. Normally I don't submit such bad reviews but we wanted to make other travelers aware.
