I have just returned from a 5-day stay with my wife and baby daughter and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The location: The resort itself is gorgeous, set on the cliffs overlooking beautiful Benitses Bay. It is a modern, chic and peaceful resort, which is very well-staffed and cleaned. It is situated only 20mins away from Corfu Town (where there are shuttles to and from the hotel available) as well as the airport. There is also a shuttle every 15mins taking guests down to the private beach, which is well-worth taking! It all points to a very well-organised hotel, which made life so much easier for my young family with prams and all manner of baby gear and luggage to haul around. Drivers were all amenable and shuttle buses very spacious so our buggy never needed to be folded down and everything fit in easily. Staff: One of the many high points. This is an extremely well-trained staff team, which is very organised and, in typical Greek fashion, welcoming and willing to help out in whatever manner possible. I lost sunglasses on the first night and these were found by security by the end of the stay. Cleaning crews were flexible and happy to clean while we stayed on the balcony with the baby. Every night, they would bring us extra water, complementary sweets and 'Tales of Corfu' cards (a nice touch) as well as offer anything else we needed. The level of spoken English is very high. We loved members of staff like Elizabeth (who we would definitely consider a friend now!), Alexandra, Peggy and Sophia. On top of that, we had many convivial and helpful conversations with waiters and hostesses making the effort to help us in any way possible and find out about us as people. We had high chairs offered to us at all times. Food: Excellent. Even more impressive than the staff! A large buffet breakfast with many options. Ruen Romsai was a lovely, airy setting with views out to the pools in the morning. The selection of Greek cakes was unbelievable (if nothing else, try the Portokalopitta) and the fruit was always excellent quality. The show-cooked omelettes were very well-seasoned (a feature of all the food at the resort). For dinner, Oribu offered excellent views of the ocean from on high and high quality, big portions of pan-Asian food. Being Cypriot, I have deeper knowledge of Greek cuisine and I must say Sofrito offered stunningly elevated examples of Greek specialties. The Corfiot dishes of Rooster Pastistada and Lamb Kleftiko were moreish and unique in flavour profile. Definitely try the portokalopitta, ravani or profiteroles for dessert - all have a selection of tasty sorbets and an interesting amalgamation of traditional flavours served with them. Suffice it to say that all food at the resort has a lot of work put into its appearance on the plate. Rooms: We had an upgraded junior suite with full-length balcony looking over the pool, the entirety of Benitses Bay and the Ionian Sea. Amazing views. The room was huge, clean and ultra-moder
