SCAM Arrived in Coron at the end of the day, we went to the Pirates Diving resort to learn that our reservation had been cancelled by the owner, who apparently hadn't received any money. Just to clarify: we paid months in advance and also received a confirmation message the day before. I therefore suggest that you skip the reservation to avoid an unpleasant surprise... A big thank you to the hotel next door, SunRise Valley, who were very helpful in this emergency, and also for the friendliness of the staff at reception. ARNAQUE A peine arrivés a Coron en fin de journée, nous nous rendons au Pirates Diving resort et nous apprenons que notre réservation a été annulée par le propriétaire qui apparemment n’a reçu aucun argent. Petite précision : nous avons payé des mois à l’avance et nous avons également reçu un message de confirmation la veille. Je vous suggère donc de passer votre chemin pour éviter une mauvaise surprise… Un grand merci à l’hôtel juste à coté « SunRise Valley » qui a été d’une grande aide et dans ce moment d’urgence, mais aussi pour l’amabilité du personnel à l’accueil.

Rustig resort, maar wel goed centraal gelegen. Je bent zo bij de winkeltjes en restaurantjes. Het personeel is super lief en behulpzaam. Paul zorgt ervoor dat je je welkom voelt en denkt goed mee met je duikwensen. Onze kinderen hebben hier hun duikdiploma gehaald. De kids hebben zich goed vermaakt in het zwembad!

T be clear we are dive professionals and have dove wrecks everywhere just finished a contract and needed a LUST FOR RUST. Paul Leggott runs the show, he has been at this for a long while all over the place, he knows his stuff. He is assisted by his wife Jeanette who makes things go smooth. So as Pros we will either be harder of easier on a fellow operator, basically we'll be honest Paul runs a great operation, bends over backwards to cover your needs. We choose him originally cause he was the most professional in emails before we got there, rest were loosey goosey or clueless. I will be bring two big groups from States in the late fall rest assured we will be diving with Paul. Need to mention one ROCK STAR, Instructor Thomas, usually on the boat and he makes sure everything runs smooth and makes good decisions. Also Instructor Phil was on the ball. We got to work with lots od boat boyz and they all were good. TRUST THIS OP!!

Nous avons séjourné 4 jours car hélas ce n' était pas disponible pour plus de jours ...Paul est une très belle personne et qui est donc entouré de personnes adorables ...que ce soit la team du bateau ou au bar ..soyons honnête son bateau est LARGEMENT le plus beau et le plus confortable..un grand merci à tout cette équipe et je n oublie les qualités de la jeune cuisinière nous avons mangé plusieurs tellement c était bon ..encore merciiii

The diving experience is top Notch. They know how to make you feel welcome, they know how to accommodate all levels of divers on a single boat. The lunch in between diving was always delicious. I value quality and customer service over saving a little money going to a local shop. Paul is the man! Highly recommend this dive shop if you value quality.

As you would expect a 5 star dive center should be. Great staff that organise and communicates well. The diving was superb in every aspect with pirates. Located near to the harbour and a great spot for an aprez drink. Would love to have stayed in coron longer and will definitely go back.

A wonderful place to stay especially if you're planning to scuba dive because the resort offers the complete package of a place to eat, sleep and has all equipment, dive masters and a boat ready for fun dive day trips. The staff are friendly and very accomodating. The room is modest but clean. There is comfortable communal seating areas by the pool or in the garden catered for by the adjacent Pirates Tavern Bar.

This is a review of the diving not the resort as a whole. Let’s get the basics out of the way, the diving was good. Arthur looked after us through the day and we completed the wreck dives for our wreck certification and we were happy with the day. The problem is with Paul and the admin around this. We completed the dives 2 weeks ago and paid around £200 each for our wreck dive certification. We have not received the certification and all but one of my emails have gone ignored. I have now emailed Paul 6 times, he responded to one a week ago to say it would be done the next day. It still has not been done. I have explained I would be leaving this review as I don’t feel they are a reliable dive centre, that email was sent a week ago so I feel we have allowed plenty of time for this to be sorted. I will also be taking this up with PADI as currently I have paid a huge amount for a day of normal diving, rather than a certification. I know my emails have been received as Paul responded to the fourth one acknowledging. I know Paul has the ability to give us the certification as he gave us the books that gives him the licence. I have the stamps from his dive shop to prove we have completed the course. I do not understand what is going on but I feel this review and contacting PADI are my only recourse. Please do not dive with Pirates if you are getting certified for anything. If you are getting certified then I would advise not leaving the premises until the admin is complete. There were reasons Paul couldn’t do it on the day which we accepted but he promised it would all be sorted by 3pm the next day. Two weeks on I am now being ignored and I have paid for nothing.
