Retro Inn at Mesa Verde

Very good experience staying at the Retro Inn. Great selection of breakfast and friendly staff. The motel gives you a vibe of the 1970s, which was very cool. And they also have ping pong table, chess set, and many more. Highly recommended

Very clean retro themed rooms. We stayed in the Happy Days room! Very reasonably priced! Would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Walking into the suite, my boyfriend exclaimed, “This place is romantic, babe. I don’t think I’ve ever said that about a hotel room before.” Hell yeah! The newly renovated Great Gatsby Suite features modern comforts with a fun, stylish, 1920s vibe. This room is tucked away in a wing next to the clubhouse, offering lots of privacy. There’s a bit of a musty smell upon entry which one would expect from an older hotel. The room was extremely clean though, much to my germaphobe boyfriend’s liking. The king sized memory foam bed was comfy, and the walk-in shower will blissfully zone you out! We appreciated that the toilet is in a separate room. The fireplace works, mostly just for ambiance. There is a separate heater and air conditioner which work very well. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the all-day free coffee in the lobby. There is a Denny’s restaurant right across the street that is decent (the only 24 hour restaurant in Cortez). Smoking is allowed outside the room on the patio which was convenient (we confirmed that with the front desk). It’s not often that I actually enjoy hanging out at a hotel. This place is just THAT COOL. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Retro Inn!

Front desk staff were so nice & friendly. Smooth check in. Room was very clean, spacious, comfortable bed. Keurig, microwave & fridge. Nice little porch with chairs in front of rooms. There was a game room & nice areas to sit outside. Pet friendly & good area to walk dogs. Not hot breakfast but it was a good selection of brkfst items. Would definitely stay again.
