Gran Tacande Wellness & Relax Costa Adeje

Great location if you wish to have a more quiet getaway on an otherwise busy Tenerife. Pool is excellent and a 2 min walk from 2 beaches.

We booked through TUI We had a Suite which was ok but stayed in better. It was clean on arrival but didn’t seem to be cleaned throughout our stay. Bed was ok, 2 single beds pushed together. Pillows were very big and uncomfortable. Tv worked and had English channels which was good. Could not connect to the WiFi. Breakfast had lots of options so ok. Staff were friendly. The pool area was our main disappointment- the floors around the pool area was dangerously slippery! So many near misses. There was a 3rd pool however you had to pay to use €40 pp / pd. there was work going on some of the swim up pool rooms which caused a huge amount of disruption during our stay loud and unable to relax with it going on, and we were not informed of this happening during our stay. The hotel was about 20 minute walk from any local bars etc. I have stayed in other 5* hotels abroad and this dosent come close. I wouldn’t personally return anytime soon!

A first class experience. Having worked in the airline industry for over 30 years we’ve been lucky enough to stay at some of the best hotels in the world. The Gran Tacande is on that list. The staff are all excellent and can’t do enough for you. Cosmon (our waiter for breakfast and dinner) is exceptional and a credit to the hotel. The food is excellent with plenty of choice for both breakfast and dinner. The bedrooms are very spacious, nicely furnished with everything you require. We opted for a seaview room which was lovely. The pool area is fantastic, very peaceful with plenty of comfy sun loungers and has a great bar which serves lovely lunches. The location of the hotel is great. We will certainly return. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very very enjoyable.

Very disappointing stay. We came here as a couple for a relaxing 4 nights away for my 40th birthday. We were given a poor room near the kitchen so if you tried to sit on the balcony the extract noise was loud and the balcony stank of food. We asked to move because of this which they charged us €30 for! The new room we were given was better but the air con doesn’t work. The biggest issue we have was no warning at all to the amount of construction work ongoing at the hotel. There are 2 area where they are drilling ALL day long! The only way to block it out is by listening to music really loud which you don’t want to do all the time. There is also a mall underneath the hotel and there is very loud construction work ongoing in there. So there is no escape! It’s unbearable. I understand construction works have to happen at some time but a 5* hotel has a duty to let their customers know beforehand when you are paying a lot to stay here so you can decide if you still want to come. We feel like we were tricked by not being informed beforehand. A lot of people are unhappy about the noise. We wouldn’t stay again sadly and it’s not worth the money because of these issues.

I'll keep it brief, an ok 4 star hotel, far away from other 5 star hotels I have stayed in. All areas of the hotel need improving & have never stayed in a hotel that controls your non existent air-con. Sorry tried to keep it brief but tripadvisor have a minimum requirement of 200 characters!!

This was our third stay at this hotel and there are some real positives as to why we come back: - Fantastic breakfast spread - Great service from the staff - Nice lobby bar and roof bar - Great location not too far from plenty of food and drink but nice and quiet in the evening in the area - Plenty of beds (when we visited) and good pools - Thermal journey in the spa was great and we really appreciated the voucher for this, this is a great thing to do on a cloudy day. Some things we think would be worth looking into: - The hotel provides water every day in the room, we took our cool bottles and would be more than happy to fill from a cooler - this would be much better for plastic reduction too. - Roof bar used to open earlier which was good for drinks before going out for dinner- only seems to open at 8 now which means we only used it twice on return from evenings out. - since we last visited two years ago, using phones for calls on loudspeaker around the pool seems to have become normalised. Obviously this isn’t the hotels fault and says more about a couple of groups of fellow guests but perhaps some guidance as to this not being acceptable could be given by the pool staff who were excellent at taking drinks orders. For some reason both this visit and last time we were allocated room 150 which is the accessible room with a wet room rather than a normal bathroom. The room is huge and has plenty of space but the shower isn’t quite as nice as the one we had on our first visit.

its a great location with lots of clean spaces and attentive management. I thought the staff in general were great. I didn't enjoy being hustled by the chef who reckoned he was giving us extra special attention in exchange for a very pointed request for a tip. it was so transparent it ruined the holiday.

Great team in Gran Tacande ... from arrival at reception last Sunday (18 August), first meal that night (recognised by staff from last year). The whole experience wonderful for us and two adult sons. Special thanks to to Cosmin, Oliver and Dodi (amongst only a few) who took care of us in the restaurant, Monica in the Spa, Saviero x 2 in the bar, Moussa for his constant positivity at breakfast and dinner, Monica in the Spa and really the entire Gran Tacande Team (led by Christina and Maria). Rooms kept impeccably clean (352/353) every day by the nicest team ever, nothing was a problem. Well done everyone, see you in February 2025 :-)
