We enjoyed our week in Fuerteventura at this resort. It's a large, A/I property that's beautifully landscaped (there's even a resident hedgehog). Staff are friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurants. The food was good and you could always find something warm and freshly cooked. There was a big choice with lots of Spanish cuisine. The salad bar was excellent. The a la carte tapas restaurant was lovely, we didn't like the Italian as much and couldn't get into the 3rd one. The main bar in the evening had some low key entertainment, not too exciting but the animation team worked very hard. Our sea view room in bldg 14 was really nice, a good size, clean, modern and recently decorated with a great big bed and a powerful shower. We left our door open and fell asleep to the sound of the crashing waves. There is a beach below the resort, down quite a few steps - go left to a wider section of beach and a nice beach bar (not part of the hotel). We came on a last minute whim to escape the terrible British weather and this hotel did that job very well. It was great value for money. The weather was perfect! We used the smaller pool near the tennis courts which was warmer, quieter and didn't have any music playing. Our only disappointment was that, in spite of having a gorgeous seaside setting, except in the seafront rooms, you could barely see the view. There was no beach bar or restaurant with a view. There were low walls at the front, so if you sat down, you couldn't see anything. I suspect this is because it's often very windy in Fuerteventura, so the walls protect you. But we thought it was a lost opportunity. Otherwise, we had a relaxing weekand enjoyed our stay.
