Tui Magic Life Fuerteventura - All Inclusive ★★★★

"Simply put, I was disappointed by the ladies and gentlemen who organize Extra Adventures, dressed up in TUI clothing, because they don't even know what time the Kids Club opens. Yet they still sold me something, even though they knew I wanted to take my 5-year-old to the Kids Club at that time, while I wanted to go jet-skiing with my 11-year-old—but the Kids Club closed at 9 a.m. I also booked a car that was supposed to come to the hotel. Instead, they were supposed to pick me up from the hotel and take me somewhere else to complete the paperwork. This was, of course, problematic because the children were still asleep in the hotel room at that time. As a single father, this is understandably impossible for me. One particularly negative point is that all the sunbeds are permanently reserved (they start before 6 a.m.)—mostly by German citizens, who are always and regularly unpleasantly conspicuous."

"very very good! The entire hotel community environment is very good, the room is very comfortable, you can see the mountains and the sea at the same time outside the window, the staff are very nice, the beach is also super beautiful, the overall experience is very good. The buffet is also very rich. Highly recommend this hotel!"

📍 Urb, C/ Gran Canaria, 11, Esquinzo

"Great spot overlooking a very pretty beach, the hotel has a good vibe (especially Norman from the entertainment team who went above and beyond to include all and he was just a really nice guy). Food is excellent with a large variety of options and theme nights - something for everyone! The rooms are very nice, clean, comfortable and cool (we were in room 8315 which was great and had a nice view of the bay). Very good value for money (especially given the reps have a consistent present on site and are very helpful in providing excellent solutions to any minor holiday issues). Mic drop !!!!"

📍 Lomo de Acebuche, s/n, Esquinzo

"I honestly don't understand what the bad reviews are about! You get what you pay for! Our room was very clean, staff were incredible and couldn't do enough for you! Plenty of food choices that change daily! Service was quick at the bar and always with some great banter! Yes it's windy but it's the windiest island in the Canaries! Yes the building is showing a bit of wear and tear but it's also a quote a large resort so you can only expect so much! No signs of reported cockroaches or mosquitoes! The steps to the beach are not an issue and well worth the walk down and back up as it's beautiful just avert your eyes on occasion! "

Robinson Esquinzo Playa - All Inclusive ★★★★

📍 Urbanizacion Butihondo C, C. Gran Canaria, 2, Las Palmas, Esquinzo

"This was the second time we’ve been to a Robinson resort and this didn’t disappoint. The setting was fantastic as were the facilities. The site is on a hill above a very nice sandy beach (probably the best that I’ve seen in the canaries). There were some mixed reviews on rooms but we found them to be very clean and pretty modern - Probably not as good as some 5* resorts but far better than we expected. The tennis facilities were excellent with 5 indoor and 6 outdoor courts. The fitness classes were also fantastic and very varied (from yoga to HIIT to functional) with some great and motivating instructors particularly Dinah who spoke both in German and English. German is obviously the main language spoken but given we don’t speak it, most staff were very competent in English. The shows (particularly Wonka) were excellent and although in German it didn’t stop us enjoying them. Food was of a very high and varied standard with many healthy options. The grilled meat and fish was particularly tasty. Cocktails were also freshly made and part of the all-inclusive menu. Many tables were setup for sharing but we generally prefer to eat as a family and there was normally space for this if we ate slightly off peak times. We had a great time and (particularly if you are a sporty person/family), I highly recommend"

"Good hotel for vacations, they have separate spaces for everyone, whether you go with family or not, excellent service from the workers, they just need to improve the cleanliness of the bathrooms in the rooms, it needs a little bit to be perfect."

SBH Club Paraiso Playa ★★★★
"We were quite apprehensive about staying at SBH Collection Fuerteventura after reading some of the very negative reviews on TripAdvisor, but our experience was much better than we expected. First of all, the staff were absolutely fantastic. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, helpful and hardworking. As a hotel General Manager myself, I know how demanding hospitality can be, and the team here are a real credit to the hotel. They genuinely made our holiday. The food was another pleasant surprise. After reading the reviews, we expected the worst, but there was always something to eat at every meal. Was it luxury dining? No. But there was enough variety that we always found something we enjoyed. We were well fed, never went hungry and, most importantly, none of us were unwell during our stay. Some of the reviews online really don’t reflect the experience we had. The hotel itself is undeniably tired and in need of investment. There’s no getting away from the fact that it would benefit from a major refurbishment. Around the pools there are loose tiles and, unfortunately, my daughter cut the bottom of her foot. Accidents can happen anywhere, but this is an area that definitely needs attention. One thing we really appreciated was that the hotel never felt overcrowded. There are three pools, including a children’s pool, and there was always plenty of room for everyone. Finding a sunbed was never a problem, and the whole place had a relaxed atmosphere. Do be prepared for the wind! The hotel sits high on the cliffs overlooking the sea, so it can get extremely windy. While it’s beautiful, the breeze is constant and can be very strong on some days. The cleanliness throughout our stay was excellent. We stayed in Room 317and 318 ourselves and tried to leave it as tidy as possible each morning to make life a little easier for the housekeeping team, who were brilliant. We did have a couple of unexpected visitors in the form of cockroaches, but that’s part and parcel of Fuerteventura rather than a reflection of the hotel’s standards. The staff were quick to provide insect spray and deal with the issue. If you’re feeling sociable, you can always have a friendly chat with a cockroach before showing it the door! One point that really stood out to me from a professional perspective was security at reception. On more than one occasion, I noticed guests requesting replacement room keys without being asked to confirm their identity or room details. As someone who works in hotel management, I would strongly recommend that reception staff verify guests’ names and room numbers before issuing replacement keys. It’s a simple procedure that would significantly improve guest security. The location is also worth considering. The hotel is quite isolated, so if you want to visit shops, bars or explore more of the island, you’ll need transport. If you’re arriving on the standard coach transfer, be prepared for a journey of up to two hours. We opted for a"

"Most of the hotel staff were lovely. The food was great. The beach was absolutely amazing. The queues for drinks were ridiculous and because I wanted a cocktail and my husband wanted a spirit we had to queue up twice??? The chill out bar was lovely but also long queues. The staff in the main bar were also rude."

Robinson Esquinzo Playa - All Inclusive ★★★★
"I've had an amazing stay in Robinson Esquinzo Playa. One of the best hotels I've ever visited! ❤ The hotel is placed quite high and it offers you breathtaking ocean views. Right at the hotel exit there is a charming path that leads you to the beach. The beach is gorgeous, it's very wide and not so crowded. It takes maybe 10min to go down there, the way is pleasant and again, views are stunning. What is more, likely you will see canarian squirrels on the way. Facilities of the hotel are great: it has 2 swimming pools (one of them is heated), many sunbeds in different places, beautiful private daybeds that you can book, billard table, there is also fitness center, spa and tenis courts. Rooms are clean. All over the hotel there are many big palm trees and other plants, which makes the hotel look even better. The variety and quality of the food is surprisingly good! The restaurant is pretty big. There is lots of things to choose, even the most picky guests should be satisfied. For breakfast there are freshly squized juices and shakes which I loved. I enjoyed most of the food but especially amazingly cooked meat and variety of fruit and deserts. Even in a snackbar the food is delicious. The bar offers extraordinary options of beverages, including non-alcoholic ones. This hotel is fantastic both for families with children and for adults alone. Kids will not be bored, there is a pool with water slides, kids club run by good entertainers, even gymnastics and swimming classes for kids. At the same time, there is not loud in the hotel. You can always find places to relax where is completely quiet and calm. I was there during Christmas time and the New Year. The hotel prepared special decorations, food and drinks, firework show and even a music band live! Another thing that is worth mentioning is hotel staff. People working there are lovely, very well-organised, kind and hardworking. Starting from reception and restaurant workers, ending with housekeeping and entertainment team. There is an amphitheatre where there is a show twice a week. People taking part in the performance are often the same ones who are doing different jobs during the day. They're still finding time and energy to do rehearsals and practice choreographies, which is absolutely impressive. I've watched these dance shows with pleasure! Also the hotel is located in the southern part of Fuerteventura, where all of the most beautiful places of the island are. I totally recommend this place, I could come back here one day and hopefully I will"
