The Mill Restaurant & Accommodation

Lovely stay We spent the weekend at the Mill. It was very homely, the beds were super comfy, the staff were really nice, and helpful. The breakfast was also fantastic! Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here with our family for a night with our dog to after many years of not visiting the area. As usual we had a wonderful stay in a lovely house with all home comforts and a great nights sleep along with a fantastic breakfast and peaceful beautiful gardens and grounds. A good-sized clean and comfortable room with an excellent view over the lake. Very welcoming hosts. Nice lounge and conservatory overlooking a lovely garden with many feeding birds. Excellent breakfast with a huge choice of homemade ingredients. What more could we ask?

This is a wonderful place to stay! The location is within walking distance of town which has quite a few pubs, restaurants and shops, but it feels secluded. The gardens are immaculate and beautiful, with a couple of tables and chairs on the lawn for a view of the lake. The B&B was charming - very comfortable with many unique art decorations that we were always discovering new pieces. Inside the building there were many sitting areas with comfortable couches and views to relax. The breakfasts were amazing - delicious food, many choices and so nicely decorated. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable and they had all the amenities that were needed. Susan and Derick were wonderful, kind, friendly and helpful hosts. I highly recommend this B&B, and will definitely stay there if I am ever in the area again.

We spent 3 great days in Dunfanaghy at The Mill. I had recently fractured my ankle on our trip and this wound up being a perfect place for me to take it easy. The rooms were very comfortable with nice views of a small lake and there were many very comfortable sitting areas on the main level to relax with a book, glass of wine, etc. The outdoor garden was also a lovely place to relax. We ordered takeout dinner on the first night and they were very accommodating with recommendations as well as plates, glasses and ice packs for my ankle throughout my stay. Breakfast was absolutely amazing - anything you could ask for and all delicious and plentiful. Susan was so kind and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again. Walking into town would have been very doable, probably a 15 minute walk with sidewalks…we used a taxi so we could enjoy the pub and it was a €5 easy trip. Food at Lizzie’s Diner was great as well as pizza at Rusty Oven. The trad session at the Oyster Barb on Thursday nights was our favorite on our entire trip, highly recommend! If I make it back to Dunfanaghy to do some of the things I missed out on due to my ankle, I would absolutely stay at The Mill again.

Of all the B&Bs on our two-week road trip on the Wild Atlantic Way we had the friendliest & most helpful welcome from Susan at The Mill and the breakfast offering was absolutely wonderful. The Mill is a beautiful house with a very relaxing and homely feel with comfortable lounge areas and bedrooms overlooking the lake.

Beautiful B&B a 10-15min walk to Dunfanaghy. The view and the house itself are amazing. The owner and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and every room is individually furnished. Big choices at the breakfast which is excellent and was one of the best during our vacation in Ireland.

This is exceptional b&b, the host Susan was friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was amazing with so much variety. The location is a 10 minute walk from the town the surrounding is calming and peaceful. Will definitely stay again.

Overlooking the lake -- swans nesting in the reeds, we enjoyed watching them with their little ones. Wonderful large gardens and lawn were very pleasant for a stroll. This is a wonderful B&B with 7(?) rooms. Ours was beautifully furnished in classic country style and had all the necessary amenities. Comfortable bed and great tub/shower and lots of hot water. Ours was the best room, Castlebane, with two windows overlooking the lake and one looking to the beautiful gardens and lawn. Breakfasts made to order were wonderful and Anne was very helpful getting us oriented in the Dunfanaghy area. Large gravel car park on the property made our access easy.
