Good is Dylan wow he’s fantastic! Most of the staff are very nice. Hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. (I planned a whole trip around being able to stay here and I was let down a few times). Breakfast was delicious, many options to choose from and Spence he’s a super awesome guy! You have a gorgeous view of the Bluestack Mountains, lovely little walks just there on the grounds. The Bad, I was not greeted on arrival. I dealt with my own bags and so on. As I walked into the place fighting with my bags, I was over looked. I got to the front desk and let’s just say I did not feel very welcome at all. There are two younger ladies at the front desk who are absolutely rude and I didn’t appreciate that. This place was very expensive. Too expensive for the treatment I got. I avoided the front desk because of the rudeness so needless to say I didn’t get to rent a bike as I’d have liked. I didn’t ask questions because I was not treated very nice. The common areas look nice, but the cottage rooms are very dated. I had dusty lamps and a foul smell in the room. It literally made me sick and I lost my voice for two days. I had an asthma attack and that wasn’t a big deal to the staff. They acted as if I was the issue. The manager did put in me a room that no one had ever been in before and that was fine. After all the previous stuff it just soured the trip and what was meant to be relaxing. The Not so Great.. booked 5 months in advance and also booked 3 spa treatments. Well after confirming and confirming I show up and they have me down for only one treatment. Needless to say this was par for the course. I had a lovely lava massage but then went into the hot tub area and there was some mildew type smell in there. I did not feel a thousand welcomes here!
