We had a great stay at the Hyde Hotel on May 24th 2024. The hotel is in a great location close to everything in Galway; easy walking distance. Our room was a good size, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had no issues parking in the garage behind the hotel (once we found the entrance). After our stay, it was about a 1 hr drive to the Shanon airport on easy driving motorways to catch our flight back to the US.

Modern hotel near Eyre Square. King bed was very comfortable. Door onto small balcony made the room bright and brought in fresh air. Street noise was very minimal with balcony door closed. The restaurant and bar were up-to-date and provide a great setting. Walking to all of the attractions on Quay Street and the harbor area was easy and delightful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible experience. I booked The Hyde hotel for a group of 13 for my sister’s hen party and it was perfect. All staff I encountered were so professional, friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Beautiful decor in all the bedrooms and the restaurant, very modern. The location was also superb. Will definitely be back for a visit when I return to Galway.

Centrally located, very convenient to walk to the shops and restaurants. Parking in parking garage behind hotel. First impressions are everything, reception area rug was dirty and stained, as were hallway carpet and bedroom. Blue/green blanket on bed was also dirty. Other than that, the bathroom and rest of room was very nice. Comfy bed, great hot water and pressure. Plenty of body wash / shampoo. Windows can be opened for fresh air. Breakfast was nice. Decor in dining rooms and bar are colorful and fun. Evenings were very busy with loud young drinking crowd, which made us feel over the age to enter.

I had recommended this Hotel to family coming to Galway city from the USA So we decided we’d have dinner there as they had been travelling So 5 of our group were residents and the service was terrible .. we had a table of 10 and had to constantly get up to look for service all evening before during and after dinner! It was a pity but that is my 2 nd time there inside a 6 month period but I did feel the food had improved and tastier but the group of us thought the service was just terrible and decided not to let it ruin our evening We all felt it was a pity and that the staff were not friendly really bar one blonde girl who was looking after us later that evening was very nice and well trained ! The visitors loved my recommendations for the central location and hotel style .. they were happy with their bedrooms but very disappointed with the service in the dining room too and thought €10 for deserts were a bit high for what they had !
