"From the Galway coach station, follow the navigation to walk 12 minutes to the hotel. The coach station is not the same as the bus station. The two are not far away, about 4 minutes walk. The hotel is clean and has a rich breakfast with bread, bacon, grilled sausage, oatmeal, bananas, etc. The front desk service is enthusiastic and detailed how to get to the surrounding attractions. There is a pedestrian street downstairs, and there are supermarkets and shopping malls such as Tesco nearby."

"First-line sea view, great scenery. Full self-service, can't see the front desk, every time I communicate by email, it is a little inconvenient. Parking is free. The parking lot is behind and on the first floor, there are many cars, but there is still a place. There is a kitchen washing machine, double bathroom. The bedding is also comfortable."

"My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Heron's Rest recently and our time there was wonderful. The location is perfect (walkable but still quiet due to being in a courtyard), the accommodations were superb, and the food pantry, stocked with breakfast items was beyond our expectations. We travel often, and always try to stay at short term rental apartments and houses rather than hotels, and the support provided by Sorcha at Huron's Rest was by far the most outstanding we have ever experienced. As an example, we were heading out on a Sunday morning and couldn't get the dishwasher started, so we sent Sorcha a message and left for our day in Galway. Not only did she find a service company to come out on a Sunday while we were gone, but she came over and did our dishes for us. Outstanding customer service just not begin to describe the extra effort. We highly recommend staying at the Heron's Rest."

"The hotel has three floors and no elevator, but it is very warm. The hotel owners are twin brothers, tall and burly, but very elegant. The hotel we booked was supposed to include breakfast, but the instructions said it was charged, which prevented everyone from having breakfast. I hope this will be made clear in the future."

We were given newly renovated rooms, which were spacious and comfortable. This was a definite highlight of our visit. The hotel was quite expensive, and unfortunately, breakfast was not included in the price. Given the cost of the stay, we were disappointed that breakfast required an additional charge. Overall, we appreciated the friendly staff and the spacious, newly renovated rooms, but the location and the lack of included breakfast made the hotel feel less worthwhile for the price."
