Very nice hotel room. Updated fixtures. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is just across from national park, which offers a nice walk to Abbey ruins and Muckross House. Cons were that internet TV wasn’t connected to Internet, it was difficult (20 mins) to get a cab to town and it’s too far to walk, finally, not many dining options s f much pricier than in town. No fitness center, if that matters to you. Overall, a nice hotel

Excellent hotel, in a fantastic location. The staff were incredible; super polite and helpful at all times. Furthermore they were excellent with our two small kids. Lovely touch giving them goody bags in the room. The spa and food options were also excellent. I would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay, the staff were very friendly, the hotel room was spotless and very spacious, the breakfast was fantastic and the service was just absolutely brilliant. The morning we were checking out after the breakfast we decided to book the spa, all I can say is wow, the spa was absolutely fabulous, for sure I will be returning.

Definitely recommend this hotel and spa, well worth every penny spent. It is set inside Killarney National Park where you simply cross the street to take a leisurely stroll to the Abbey and down to the water’s edge. Reception was warm and friendly - our room was clean and beautifully decorated as was the bathroom. They had a very large tub for bathing plus separate shower and two sinks. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillow options. Shower had good pressure and temperature. Plenty of towels and comfy bathrobes. Spent time in the pool and hot tub… hands down one of the most beautiful spa areas I have ever seen… it felt like a privilege to be there. With respect to food options - they had something for everyone. We had dinner at Colgan’s Pub - we fell in love with the servers and bartender and more so, the burger and drinks! Best burger ever!!! Breakfast was in the Yew Tree dining room… elegant and stylish with professional wait staff. Food was delivered quickly and temperature was perfect. The concierge called for our taxi and sent us off with a smile. Muckross Hotel and Spa is a class act and should be on everyone’s bucket list.

We went for our honeymoon and the room was tiny for a deluxe 5 star hotel. Only one bedside locker and a long black hair in the bed when i pulled back the sheets. Service was very bad. They moved us to a suite which was much appreciated but we waited an hour to be given the key cards and in the end i had to go and ask for them.then another hour and 2 calls to reception to have a bottle of wine brought up to our room. Breakfast was very good but in checkout there was a room charge of 16euro for room service which we never ordered. Personally i was very disappointed with this hotel especially as we paid 700euro for our stay.would not reccommend it at all.

Stayed here on business, hotel was booked through a third party, with food and accommodation paid for. Booked in reception, showed receptionist email. That's when the trouble started, wanted me to pay for room which was already paid for, asked for manager who sorted out the payment, when I asked about the evening meal, told in no uncertain terms that isn't paid for. Tried showing the manager and receptionist email, they didn't want to know. I asked could they ring the third party, this fell on deaf ears.

This hotel is gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful lobby and very helpful staff. Very nice and expensive restaurants. And absolutely horrid bedding. We stayed in a 299 Euro per night junior King suite. The bed were 2 a very hard twin size innerspring mattresses from the 1900s...time for some memory foam... and all 6 pillows offered no variety...all were very firm over stuffed down pillows...of you require a thinner pillow, bring your own. This hotel is all class and no comfort.
