Coventry Hill Hotel

Compared to other hotels like Novotel , this is no where near the standard!

The hotel was probably once very nice, sadly it is now quite run down. They currently house a large number of migrants, there is security at the door and whilst we had no problems the overall atmosphere didn’t feel like a pleasant place. Receptionist was fine, nice. The room was rancid! **********s all over the bed like someone had sprinkled them on there and in the sheets, mould stains and damp marks everywhere. Dead bugs in bath, stains all over the carpet and lampshades. Worse than military accommodation and that’s saying something. The outside looked like a crack den. Not sure how this is even open.

My colleague booked this hotel, he loves being a maverick so doesn't read reviews before booking. I like Kemosabe to his loan ranger went along for the ride, assuming he had made a fully informed decision as to the quality of our accommodation for the night 🫣 The first impression wasn't great, that haunting end-of-the-world feeling was undeniable, but the post-apocalyptic feeling surely couldn't continue inside? How wrong I was, the automatic doors into reception forced themselves open with a sad reluctant whine, we stepped in and was immediately blocked by a small security guard in hi-vis demanding to know our intentions, despite the language barrier we convinced him that we had pre-booked rooms and then politely directed to the reception counter and instructed to ring the bell. This we dutifully did, shortly a young gentleman popped up as if from nowhere and inquired sceptically if we had a booking, we assured him we did and gave our names, he replied "one moment" and disappeared through an opening behind him, we uncomfortably twiddled our thumbs for 5 mins, then as if by magic another older gentleman Appeared behind us enquiring if we had reservations, once again the we gave our details and where given our room keys and shown to the lifts (by this time the Lone Ranger was apologising profusely for his selection of hotel) After a tense creaky lift ride up to the 5th floor, we walked the corridor to our rooms very disappointed that there was no avian visitors to welcome us. The rooms are difficult describe, not because of the trauma-inducing marks and stains on the walls, doors and cupboards but because of the juxtaposition of a new carpet and bedding against the backdrop of dust infested vents and broken bathroom fixtures. To quickly wrap up this rambling review, this fading hotel which obviously is housing non domiciles wishing to join our country, needs a huge amount of investment and improvements to get it back to a place where you would charge people to stay, I would go as far as saying the best course of action would be to level the site and start again from scratch. I wouldn't stay here again, not unless I had some weird perversion for self abasement, I hope this review has helped you make an informed decision on where to stay in the Coventry area. Full of immigrants lying about using their hands to serve food no bar for £82 a night bloody disgusting won’t be usoyou again

A basic stay hotel reflected in the price. No restaurant due to asylum seekers being resident. Harvester pub near but more expensive then London !!!Beds were comfortable though basic. Linen was clean. TV worked. Water was hot. A very noisy location due to being next to a busy duel carriage way. Ear plugs required.

This hotel should not be stayed in the area is unsafe and the hotel is being used as a temporary housing estate not what ypu expect when checking into a hotel

Do not go near this place as quite possibly the worst hotel i have ever seen. This hotel should not be listed on any site as it is nothing better than perhaps a hostel some of which would be considerably better than this place. This place is fundamentally an asylum seekers holding cells not under any stretch of the imagination classed as a hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I would suggest you remove this hotel from your site - looks like a derelict building - lifts disgusting - arrived at 8.30pm to be told no bar open no food available - terrible smell on corridors and room - dirt marks on wall and chips pit of paint - this was more like a hostel than hotel - to be charged what i was is an absolute disgrace
