Cranage Hotels with Parking

APPALING I stayed here for two nights, on the face of it looked very nice and the room good - however at bed time there is NO SOUNDPROOFING and you can hear adjoining rooms showers, toilets, tv and chatter, along with corridor traffic and no soft close doors, so that was night 1. On the second night there was a wedding reception, the hotel was packed and you had to walk right through the party to get to your room, which in its self was not too bad - BUT most of the guests were staying and walked past our room at regular intervals until gone 2AM, noisy, drunk etc, so a pretty poor nights sleep, which i really did not need with having to work the next day or indeed expect with a De Vere hotel - I would have been better off in a TRAVEL LODGE ! The wedding group could have been managed better by putting other guests in one area of the hotel to actually get some sleep, but as mentioned there is no soundproofing anywhere. I am amazed there are not even soft close doors in this type of hotel, shame on you. I complained at checkout and was assured a manager would contact me (bearing in mind there was no manager on duty for a hotel that size !) and alas nobody has rung me. A shame as am going to be in the area on business regularly in the future and would have stayed there if the sound problem could have been solved by putting me in a quiet end perhaps.
