Hotel is clean , bright and modern with view over Cuenca . It is situated next to a large shopping mall with an enormous supermarket and the largest food court I have seen outside of the US. Rooms are large with big comfy beds , everything works well, air con , safe , Wi-Fi, hairdryer, shower etc. English language and sport available on wide screen tv. Breakfast is adequate without being spectacular and the restaurant could do with more staff , those that are there ,especially Giselle ,work really hard. Food at night is again, just, ok . There is a bar but no separate seating area which is a shame. The bar also suffers from lack of staff . Barman Tito is meticulous in his cocktail making which sometimes leads to a wait but his Bloody Marys are to die for . Hotel system is admin heavy with form after form needing to be filled . We registered a card in reception and the had to pay cash in bar… hey ho , it was a lovely relaxing stay between hectic legs of our tour and the staff are all magnificent, there just needs to be more of them.
