This is a very basic hotel with old infrastructure. ELEVATOR- makes ragged mechanical noises and the floor of the elevator does not flush with the hotel floor, so watch your step upon entry and exit. ROOM- the floor and room furniture were dirty, stained, and had enough dust to indicate that it hasn’t been cleaned in quite sometime. BED - there were a few stains that looked like, either it didn’t wash out or not washed at all. The bed looked like it was made up after the last guest, yet not with clean sheets. REFRIGERATOR - dirty with food stains. BATHROOM - clean. It does take awhile for the hot water. HVAC - worked fine; I was able to keep the room at a comfortable temperature…although I had to turn on the air conditioner when I got to the room because the room was hot and the HVAC was turned off. BREAKFAST - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! The food items offered were minuscule, with stale biscuits with chipped beef gravy, no scrambled eggs, just hard boiled eggs in the mini fridge, and the juice machine hasn’t been cleaned in awhile, indicated by the stale smell and taste. The jelly inside the individual packets tasted stale as well. RESTAURANT - none. Although a restaurant is listed on their website, according to the front desk personnel, the restaurant was recently purchased and the new owner has yet to complete renovations. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. PARKING - in front of the hotel is very tight. There are additional parking spaces available on the left side (as you are facing the hotel), as well as a public parking garage directly across the street. NOISE - be aware there are trains that run throughout the day and night, so light sleepers will find the noises annoying and disruptive. In essence, this hotel are for those who are looking to satisfy their basic needs - roof over your head and out of the elements, a place to get cleaned up and rest up, watch some TV, and have a bed that isn’t on the ground.
