Cunningham Township Hotels with Wi-Fi

This hotel is in transition so there is some good and some bad. The front desk clerk when we arrived was super nice. Also the check out clerk the next morning was helpful. The furniture was very updated and nice. The bathroom walls looked DIY with shotty wall patching. I worried that it would be loud because when you walk down the hall you can hear all the rooms TVs but it was quiet overnight. When we went to the pool we noticed a homeless young man sitting outside in the dilapidated picnic area. We believe he had propped opened the door to the pool with a stone to get in later. We closed the door and he left. We told the pleasant woman at the front desk and she seemed genuinely concerned. If you stay request the side where the windows face outside instead of the indoor pool. The clientele was also a mix. We spoke with pleasant people including a nice elderly couple but also construction workers were staying at the time we were there.

Country hotel, there are two gas stations on the side, there are supermarkets. You must drive by yourself, otherwise the traffic is not convenient. There is a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed is large and the double bed can sleep 4 people.

We’ve been to many IHG Hotels over the last 2+ years, and this is the best by far we’ve stayed at. I believe the experience lays with the staff enjoying where they work, whom they work with, and whom they work for. (We who stay there!) The staff was friendly (a shout-out to Ms. Dorothy who hosted the hot breakfast) to the maintenance guy who was proud of how the hotel looked. The rooms were clean & inviting after our day of driving. It’s not easy to keep things running well in the Hospitality world right now, but I really appreciate the way this hotel welcomed us. Freshmen perfect choice The hotel is super big, but the front desk service attitude of the hotel is generally the same. There is a distance from uiuc and you need to take a taxi. The price will rise a lot during the school season. . .

My son and I were in a serious traffic accident - I was injured, the car was totaled, an we were 300 miles from home. After I was discharged from the ER, we had to find an inexpensive place to stay for the night. It was after midnight by then, but we called Econo Lodge and learned had rooms available, so we cabbed it there. Check-in was easy and friendly. The price was affordable. The room was very clean and the beds we fell into almost immediately were comfortable -- we both slept well. Breakfast in the morning was... well, at least the area was clean and there was plenty of coffee! And when it was time to check out, they let us stay in the breakfast area until our ride home arrived from out of state. Bottom line: Look folk; It's an Econo Lodge. It's an inexpensive, fairly bare bones motel, exactly what you should expect for the price. But in a fairly dire situation, it was EXACTLY what we needed. We were warm, comfortable, and safe. And we were treated very kindly by all the staff we encountered from start to finish. I'm very grateful.

Clean room. Friendly helpful staff. Convenient location. I stay at this hotel the majority of my stays in C/U. Like all hotels there is a little sticker shock when there is an event in town. Beds are comfortable. HVAC works well. Showers have plenty of hot water. Internet service is good.
