When I arrived to check in, I was told that my reservation had been changed to double Queen instead of the king suite I had wanted. The receptionist at the front was apologetic and offered a discount. I am rating this poor because I would have appreciated a phone call previous to this change. That would have given me the opportunity to cancel and find a different place. Also, when I asked to speak to the manager that told the receptionist to make the change, the manager didn’t work in the weekend. I took the discount and the room. Luckily, I am only spending one night. This is just a place to rest my head for tonight. I will remember this experience and not book a room through this hotel again. Obviously, reservations do not matter.

This hotel takes up an entire city block. The sitting areas in the huge lobby are beautiful. We had avery nice meal at the on site Wolfgang Puck Restaurant and a reasonably priced breakfast at another of his eateries. Our king bedded room was adequate but not spacious, while the bathroom was small and lacking in space for toiletries. The hotel is located near the Ford Presidential Museum, which was very convenient.

My husband & I were pleased with this family owned business. June tended the Front Desk with exceptional expertise. She thinks 2 steps ahead with her answer on her lips before you are finished asking. The staff in the building were friendly, approachable & hard working. The telling factor was that the other guests were relaxed & pleasant. And the smell of the waffles cooking at the buffet was yummy! Coffee was also good. I definitely recommend this place!

Making a short 4 day trip and found this Park and Fly, normally I don’t use this chain but the price was very reasonable. I read the reviews and wasn’t sure but after my stay I would definitely recommend this Econo Lodge. I was pleasantly surprise of the room size and layout with living area separate from bedroom, the staff was very accommodating, at check in I was given all the info needed and the shuttle drive/owner was also accommodating. Upon my return, the shuttle arrived within 12 minutes. For an older hotel it sounds like they are continually trying to improve. As for the breakfast, with the price of the room and the fact there is 38 breakfast restaurants close by I felt it was quite sufficient. I will DEFINITELY use this hotel again. We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and airport shuttle. We had a one-week trip planned, flying out of GRR. When I made the reservation, I called the hotel and asked about leaving a car while we were away, airport shuttle, etc. I was given information about the rates for parking in the hotel lot between stays and told that I would pay separately for that service when checking in - not in advance. When we arrived the evening before our flight, we were told that the hotel discontinues this service during the busier season and that they decided four days prior to discontinue parking passes. ”Francesca” who was at the front desk and described herself as the General Manager was unsympathetic, unwilling to honor what we were told, and unwilling to assist in locating alternative accommodation/parking. She admitted that we were the third or fourth people with the same issue. Certainly the hotel can change its parking policy, but it should give advance notice to customers who have already booked and are counting on that service. The biggest problem was the hostility of the staff toward any suggestion that the hotel had made a mistake.
