Das Hotel Seemeile ist wirklich zu empfehlen: Schön gestaltete Zimmer, tolles Frühstücksbuffet, freundliches Personal, nette Aufenthaltsräume, knapp 10 Minuten Fußentfernung zum Strand. Zu bemängeln habe ich lediglich, dass in unserem Zimmer tatsächlich die Straßengeräusche recht laut waren; ebenso empfand ich den Preis, wenngleich das Hotel sehr gut ist, als sehr hoch. Alles in allem aber sehr gut!

Unfreundliches, unfähiges Personal, vor allem die "Führungskräfte"... Überteuert und null Service! Man muss überall hinterher rennen. Frühstück war lecker, aber auch da null Service.Absoult nicht auf Kinder eingestellt. Bei Fragen keine klare Antwort, immer unsicher. Chefin redet viiiiiieeeeelllll sodass sich immer eine laaaange Schlange an der Rezeption (die ohnehin so gut wie nie besetzt ist) bildet und man viel Zeit benötigt. Wenn man Sachen auf dem Zimmer vergisst, tauchen sie nie wieder auf oder werden von Personal entwendet. Auf Nachfrage kommt nichts. Man muss hinterherrennen.

Cuxhaven fills up quickly on a late summer weekend - this hotel was perhaps a little more expensive than expected for what it is (so one of the last to fill) but otherwise a delight. Stairs to most rooms, good wifi, nice standard buffet breakfast, friendly staff, do check they're open for your expected check-in time - they don't have 24 hour reception. It 's a nice location for the beach / resort of Döse (lots of Strandkörbe, restaurants, shops and more) - not much more than 5 minutes walk away. There's even mudflat walking (Wattlaufen) from time to time (and mudflat horseriding and apparently mudflat horsedrawn carts too ...) Several restaurants even closer than the beach. Free parking behind the hotel (limited free parking on the road in front too, but behind is easier). Is Cuxhaven worth visiting ? I went as it was a place to catch the catamaran to Helgoland from - which I can recommend - and there are other seaside activities to make it a popular destination. Overall I would rate Cuxhaven as 'good' rather than 'excellent' but it's still worth visiting.
