Dalian Hotels with Breakfast

I've stayed at this location multiple times. It is a good location and I enjoy the house band in the pub (located in the basement). The Kempeski is definitely showing its ago, however. The marblework in the bathroom is cracked and some of the flooring is stained. The public bathroom (to the right of the lobby) is in desperate need of a makeover, i.e. recaulk the edges of the lavatory and do a deep steam cleaning of all tile. Breakfast was superb and the wait staff was doing a great job turning tables around for the next customers. I would probably stay again, but only if the prices are reduced.

Is a nice hotel, with a bunch of available services. Was a pity they don't have a biguer room or family rooms available , so we get a tween room, that was fine also. Restaurant is good, breakfast have a good varaiaty of food . Location is great, not far for many interesting places in the city.

I can safely say Intercontinental is one of the best hotels in Dalian after having stayed in many Dalian hotels. For starters we got a room upgrade and early check in and late check out. The hotel also gave us complimentary coffee and fruit soon after checking in. The room was clean, comfortable, modern and had a gorgeous city view. The amenities were satisfactory and their Breakfast buffet had a wide range of Western and Chinese cuisine to choose from. Special thanks to Jason from the fitness centre and Winnie and Kevin from the front desk for their excellent service they especially made sure our stay was enjoyable. The only downside is that I think the Chinese restaurant staff could use some training the service there was the least professional but in my opinion it didn't takeaway from the overall experience.

To be honest, I expected a lot for this hotel. Well too much expectation. 我想太多了！ The room, when we first entered it was smelly like I don’t know…like an old room. Clean, yes. But the smell not so ok especially when we have a baby. The Electric plugs, OMG😱 PLEASE FIX IT !!! At first it was ok but then it stopped everywhere. We need to find which electric plug works so we can boil the water and charge our phones. And the last, the WIFI. Speechless on this one. I was thinking that I can do my work during stay at this hotel. But the connection sooooo poor !!!!! I had to use my personal hotspot from my phone to do my work using laptop. Well…I spoke to the receptionist but they said, well maybe because of a lot of people are using it. Well….it’s a big hotel, not a small apartment or even house. Anyways….next time I won’t take much higher expectations on this. Tks!

An overall good hotel though large, meaning some areas were crowded—for example the restaurant at breakfast, or the pool. The rooms were nice if not particularly unique, certainly with the feel of a large big-brand hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. A nice location with good views. Overall a decent place to get away and enjoy Dalian.

My second stay here ! And you’ll probably see me more in the future! It’s my favorite hotel to stay in Dalian ! I highly recommend!! The service is amazing ! The rooms are clean and the interior looks are exquisite and pretty . The view outside is magnificent and I was in awe !! My favorite hotel ! I will come again very soon ~~~~❤️

The hotel staff were so kind and friendly. They did not speak English but we're able to communicate using a translation APP. The brought extra water bottles to my room and asked about the room temperature. I ended up staying at my girlfriend's apartment instead of the hotel after the first night and they allowed me to cancel even though they didn't have to. I had ordered a jacket to be delivered to my room, which ended up arriving after I checked out. The hotel kept it for me and let me pick it up from there once delivered. The view from my room was awesome. The only negative was the walls were a little thin and I could hear the neighbors. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

This is a hidden gem to stay for families or for couples! We wanted our kids to enjoy being in the water even in the middle of winter and this was the perfect place. We stayed in a villa where they will fill your personal hot spring whenever needed. The public hot spring area also has huge indoor heated pools and a wonderful kids area. My children had a blast! Cleanliness and service was impecable all around. Shout out to Derek and Brain who spoke English and were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. As expected, the area around the hotel is quite dead in the winter like the amusement park and beach. Most attractions and things to do in Dalian are about 45 minutes away, so we will probably come back March- September instead.

The staff at the front desk were really kind and English was also comfortable. The room was spacious enough and comfortable, especially with a bidet in the bathroom. However, I stayed on the 10th floor, but it was a little disappointing that the room with a bad view of the building in front was blocked, and I turned on the heating, but the cold wind kept coming out, so I asked for a separate heater, so it was less cold. Hotel facilities such as saunas and restaurants in the hotel have great convenience like a global brand five-star hotel, especially because it is located in the center of the city, so it was very convenient wherever you went. The hotel was famous, so the taxi drivers quickly found the location and arrived quickly. I am thinking of using it again when I come to Dalian next time. Thank you for your warm hospitality.
