"The hotel is near Zhongshan Square, about a ten-minute walk from Exit D. The staff, including the cleaning aunties, were very friendly and welcoming. However, the soundproofing isn't great. Luckily, it wasn't too noisy during my stay. My air conditioning wasn't working, but the room was quite warm anyway, so it wasn't a big issue. The breakfast was pretty good too."

In the evenings, on the way back to the hotel, you can also pop over to the nearby Venice Water Town for a stroll."

The room space is incredibly generous, especially when compared to other hotels in the same price range. It's a really good room type. 2. The surrounding area is bustling with a fantastic variety of street food and restaurants. There are also many bubble tea shops, offering a comprehensive selection. You can find delicious food and all sorts of items just by crossing the street. 3. It's quite close to the Children's Park, which is a lovely spot to relax. Taking a walk there in the evening is very pleasant. 4. It's very close to all the attractions around Zhongshan, and you can reach most of them by taxi for just the starting fare. This makes it incredibly convenient. 5. Although the hotel doesn't have a free parking lot, it's great that they do have a few parking spots available. While it's first-come, first-served, finding a hotel with any parking spaces near Zhongshan is quite rare."

"Staying with kids was a fantastic experience! The room was super spacious, and the cleanliness was impeccable; the bedding was fresh and odorless. The staff were really friendly and attentive to our little ones. It was also easy to get around and explore nearby attractions. All the toiletries we needed were provided, and the hot water was consistent. We felt so safe and comfortable, and the whole family was very satisfied!"

"The hotel's location is great, right by Friendship Square and close to Metro Line 2, making it super convenient for getting around. There are shopping malls like Dalian Shopping Mall and Intime City nearby, and downstairs, there's a snack street with fruits, seafood, local specialties, and everything you could want. The facilities aren't brand new, but they're quite clean, and the service is very good. The only minor issue was that it took a bit of time to get the water heater temperature just right; otherwise, everything was perfect."

"It is very close to Gate 3 of Golden Pebble Beach Happy Coast. There are amusement rides at Gate 3. Just turn left and walk a little further. The hotel is clean, you can see the Discovery Kingdom roller coaster and fireworks, and there are many restaurants and seafood stalls downstairs. The hotel has good reviews for lending sand digging tools for free, just remember to return them in time. The service staff are very enthusiastic, the breakfast is acceptable, and the price/performance ratio is good."

"It was raining heavily in Dalian that day and the plane could not land at the airport. It was delayed for three hours when we arrived. I am sorry that I did not receive the active call on the plane in time. Fortunately, the reception is 24 hours. We arrived very late, but we kept in touch and waited for them to come downstairs to pick us up and explain things. You can contact us at any time if you need anything every day. The decoration style and color of the room are consistent with the photos. Although it is not big, I like it very much. I fell in love with it at first sight. It is enough for me to live with my baby and my parents. If the space is slightly larger, especially the bathroom is more spacious, it will be perfect. I didn’t take pictures of the room, but I took pictures of the view on the balcony. Xinghai Square is in full view. The location is excellent and it is very close to the subway entrance, so it is the first choice. A very satisfactory experience"

"Great location near to the central park and 20 minutes from the airport. I got an ocean view room, which was well worth it, and the bed was huge and comfortable. This hotel, when first built, was opulent, classy, and attractive. But now it is in a major need of renovations to cure everything from thread bare carpets to damaged walls and peeling timber. The welcome drink includes an afternoon tea type buffet. The quality of the food is terrible, stay clear of the pastries and coffee, but I stocked up on the fruits, which were delicious. This hotel does not live up to a 5 star rating however it does represent value for money. Next time Im in Dalian I will try another hotel first."

"Came to Dalian with my mom, and for sea views, Grand Hyatt was our top choice. The sea view is absolutely stunning; you can watch the ocean right from your bed. We didn't get to see a sunset during our stay, so we'll definitely come back for a sunrise and sunset next time. Right next to the hotel are Where Where Urchin Pizza and Xiding Urchin Dumplings, both incredibly delicious! The staff were warm and accommodating, and even gave us cute little dolls~"

"I enjoyed staying in this hotel. 5 stars but reasonable price. The room was clean and spacious and the view outside looked out towards the sea and harbour. They made the beds every morning. I did not eat the breakfast as downstairs and surrounding area had plenty of cheaper options due to being next to many shopping malls. The metro stop is not so far but a little more inconvenient to get to the main train station by walking. Line 2 takes you to the airport in less than 40 minutes for 4RMB. As the metro is nearby you can get to many local tourist places quickly and cheaply. Highly recommend if you want to spend a little more but have close access to get around."

"Booked 2 rooms on a higher floor to enjoy the city views. Unfortunately there was a noticeable toilet smell in both rooms. Reporting this to the hotel staff we were allocated alternative rooms. They still had a smell but it was less pungent than the others. Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago, its showing signs of tiredness in fixtures, fittings and facilities. We were told the hotel will be refurbished in the year ahead. Breakfast buffet is good with a wide selection of western and Asian cuisines. It gets busy, especially at the weekend. There is a decent sized pool though the changing rooms are in need of refurbishment to bring it up to the standard of other 5 star properties in the city. Room rates are currently low to reflect the hotels current situation, as told by a manager when the room smell was reported. Still a great stay thanks to its location and breakfast offering and the room rates. Look forward to its refurbishment in the future."

"We lived at this hotel in their apartments in 2001/2002, and it was interesting to come back and visit. It is perfectly located in the city and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are now older but have great views and are clean, tidy, and spacious. The breakfast buffet is extensive - Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. There's an excellent hot pot restaurant across the road!"

"We visited Luneng Hot Spring with our kids and had a great family time. The hot spring was relaxing, and the kids really enjoyed the play areas and child-friendly pools. One of the best parts of our stay was the excellent help we received from Brynn, a staff member who spoke English very well. Since we don’t speak Chinese, her support made everything easier—from room service to general questions. She was kind, professional, and even checked on us after we left. Thanks to her and the friendly staff, our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for families!0412"
