GGuest UserI first stayed at this B&B last May, and I loved the great service, excellent location, and especially the room design with its natural wood furniture style! So, when I had vacation time again this year, I came straight back. My main reason for visiting Dalian is always to see the giant pandas at Dalian Forest Zoo. Staying here near Xinghai Square is perfect; a taxi ride there costs less than 10 yuan and takes under 5 minutes. It's also right by the sea and in a central area, which makes everything super convenient and satisfying. Today I'm leaving Dalian, and the guy at the front desk was so kind; he gave us a complimentary afternoon tea set from their sister branch, Jin Se, across the street. It's a small gesture, but it means a lot. The wind in Dalian is so strong and it's really cold right now, so a warm afternoon tea at this moment is incredibly heartwarming. I'll definitely be back for the pandas, and I'll choose to stay here again!

GGuest UserThe hardware facilities are decent, but it doesn't feel like a resort hotel at all. The staff quality varies wildly. I'm being conservative in my assessment because I did see some very dedicated employees, but there were a few individuals with extremely poor service attitudes, and unfortunately, they were in key positions. As shown in the picture, the 'deluxe sea view room' I was given had a view entirely dominated by rooftops. I had booked for three days, but I decisively checked out after one. I won't be returning.

GGuest UserNestled halfway up Lianhua Mountain, Yifang Castle stands majestically, a unique landmark in itself, offering stunning views that need no filter. The hotel's sky garden is exquisite and elegant, serving as a perfect observation deck with unobstructed views of the entire Xinghai Bay. The cross-sea bridge, alongside the vast blue sky and ocean, creates a breathtaking panorama. This fairytale castle hotel exceeded expectations with its elegant and clean environment, and well-equipped, comfortable rooms. James provided meticulous and thoughtful service, and the facilities were comprehensive, ensuring the children were happy throughout the stay. The photo opportunities were fantastic, and it offers great value for money. Highly recommended for families with children.

The sky lobby offers expansive views (giving off a Guangzhou Rosewood vibe), and overlooking the city instantly creates an amazing atmosphere. The rooms are new and well-equipped, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the dental kit is exceptionally good, and premium toiletries are among the many thoughtful touches. The staff provides attentive and well-measured service, proactively checking in without being intrusive. The restaurant on the 40th floor (for breakfast and other buffet meals) still has room for improvement; it could learn from excellent counterparts in the industry, such as the Hilton Beijing Wangfujing. After booking, staff will contact you in advance and provide convenient services during your stay (similar to the Hong Kong Jockey Club).

GGuest UserTraveling during off-peak season, this hotel offers incredible value for money. The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for kids to go crabbing. The service is also excellent; it's so much better than the unhelpful one next door! A big thank you to 'Eason' (Chen Yixun) who brought us plenty of water when he saw we had a large group – it felt great to have all our requests met. There was also a very handsome manager who gave the kids fun toys. Overall, it provided a wonderful vacation experience. The hamburger and fish and chips were also great and very popular with the children.
On the first floor, there's even a DJI drone available for a test flight, which the kids loved.
The only downside is that because it's so close to the sea, the bedding can be a bit damp. If you're traveling with small children, you might want to bring your own sheets.

AAnonymous UserI've stayed at all the five-star hotels in Dalian – the Shangri-La, Grand Hyatt, Castle, Conrad, Hilton, and New World, from Donggang to Renmin Road and Xinghai. Years ago, I had a few meals and afternoon tea at the Kempinski, and my impression was quite good. This time, I was back in China for a business trip near the hotel. Even though the hotel had changed its name, I booked three nights and four days, drawn by fond memories and the convenience, as I had never actually stayed there before. The result was a huge disappointment! This is definitely a hotel I would never choose again.
Let's start from arrival. Coming from the airport by taxi, I had one large suitcase and three carry-on bags. There were no staff at the entrance. Just as I was struggling, a male staff member saw the taxi and came out to help with my luggage. During check-in, the front desk staff said they had upgraded my room and very enthusiastically offered to take me to the room. In the process, they asked for my WeChat, saying it would be convenient for service. After I gave it to them, they just turned around and left, not escorting me to my room. This felt very insincere! They completely disregarded how tiring it is for a customer who has just traveled.
So I dragged all my luggage by myself to the room, which turned out to be a corner room next to a dilapidated fire exit. Upon entering, my first impression was that the hotel's blackout curtains were fully closed, and the colors were very dark, making the whole room feel incredibly oppressive. I then requested a room change. Later, a young female staff member came to the room to bring a new key card, helped me view the new room, and assisted with moving my luggage. Her service was excellent! I'd like to thank that young lady.
Now, about breakfast. I only went once out of three days and didn't bother going again. The food was unappetizing, and the hygiene was poor. Uncleaned dishes were left in plain sight after guests finished eating. Waiters constantly made screeching noises dragging chairs. Two waiters were chatting, and even after I signaled them, they didn't respond. And the attitude of the chefs making noodles at the Chinese food station – they were joking and laughing, and customers had to ask multiple times before getting a reply. The entire restaurant staff lacked a sense of service.
I considered changing hotels in the middle of my stay, but I was too lazy to bother. I finally endured until checkout day. The front desk then asked for a good review, without asking about my real feelings at all. The entire check-in and stay experience was awful. I honestly can't give a positive review against my conscience.

GGuest UserCleanliness: The environment is very clean with a chic, boutique-style vibe. The service attitude is excellent; the butler was very responsive and attentive. The auntie at breakfast was also lovely, proactively telling me about other delicious options. The hotel's decor is very unique. I'll definitely come again; the sea water is exceptionally blue.

GGuest UserThe guest rooms at Xita Hotel have a rather heavy design style, and the renovation quality is quite poor. However, the overall service is excellent. After checking in, my child suddenly wanted some fruit. I casually asked a staff member, and even though the hotel doesn't usually provide complimentary fruit, two lovely staff members brought three fruits (a banana, an orange, and an apple) for my child. While not particularly fancy, it truly warmed my heart. I believe these fruits were probably their personal snacks. They even brought a rocking horse for my child to play with. One of the staff members was named Liu Lili – I apologize for forgetting the other lady's name. I'm incredibly grateful for their kindness and enthusiasm! Given the room rate is around a thousand yuan, I'd suggest the hotel should definitely offer complimentary fruit and small snacks. The cost is negligible, but it would make guests feel even more appreciated, otherwise, you might lose business to other hotels! Also, the hotel breakfast was very ordinary, which was disappointing.

RRos RidleyIt was pretty good overall, but the elevator experience wasn't great. There's a shopping mall next door, and the hotel uses a shared set of elevators with it. Sometimes the dedicated elevators are slow, and the shared ones are often very dirty. However, the in-suite facilities were quite nice and very spacious, though the TV was a bit old.

HHLIdlenessThis is the first hotel I stayed in that has a hostel feel, rather than a cheap rental house or a fancy capsule hotel. The service and facilities are worth the price. Some of the shortcomings that are not as good as those of a star hotel (average sound insulation, light-transmitting curtains, slow draining of the floor drain) can be overcome (earplugs and eye masks take longer to wash), or in other words, they are not a problem at the cost of 64 per day. There is a Lawson nearby (open 24 hours), the nearest subway station is Xianggong Street, and there is a McDonald's to the south. Take the subway for 2 stops to Roosevelt Square, which is convenient for eating and shopping. The front desk is open from 7:30 to 23:00. The boss is a nice person and has three cats (Mocha, Xiaojiu and Erhei).
