"I came to Dalian for a trip, but my flight was canceled due to the weather. I randomly booked a hotel for one night. The hotel is conveniently located near the university town, with direct bus access. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and helpful, assisting me with directions and even carrying my luggage. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and it's an apartment-style establishment. The staff called in advance to confirm my arrival time. The room was spacious enough, clean, hygienic, and not cramped. Although it faces the street, it was very quiet at night with no noise. There were helpful instruction stickers in many places around the room. It's very close to both the train station and the airport, about a 20-minute taxi ride. The hotel is located near Xinghai Square, which makes it very convenient for visiting the nearby attractions."

"My stay at Atour Hotel (Xinghai Square, Dalian) truly exceeded my expectations. The location, room, and service were all top-notch. The hotel is right by Xinghai Square, within walking distance to the Centennial City Sculpture and the beach. It's incredibly convenient for enjoying sea views, taking a stroll, or snapping some photos. I booked a sea-view room, and the view was fantastic. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the ocean and Xinghaiwan Bridge. The daytime sea view was expansive, and the evening lights made for great night photos. The room itself was clean and tidy, with a simple yet comfortable decor. The bedding was just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom had a good wet/dry separation, stable hot water, and a full set of toiletries. The smart toilet was also a convenient touch. The lighting and curtains in the room could all be controlled with a single button, showing great attention to detail. The front desk staff were efficient and polite during check-in, and quick to respond to any questions. The breakfast had a sufficient variety of options, tasted decent, and was filling enough to kickstart the day's activities. Overall, it offered good value for money. The location is excellent, the sea view is a big plus, and it's a very comfortable place to stay. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dalian and looking to stay near Xinghai Square."

"This hotel's location is genuinely brilliant, right in the city centre next to the Zhongshan subway and plaza, and for this price point, you really can't ask for better. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the language barrier (Google Translate sorted us out fine), and the cleaning team were lovely too. The room was decent and properly clean, I checked for dust and there wasn't any. However, the hotel is quite old, and there was some mould on the ceiling and in the bathroom and shower curtain. It didn't bother me personally, but worth noting, and a bit of spray would be great. That said, Dalian was incredibly humid when I visited in late August, so I suspect this is partly a climate issue. Even my own towels wouldn't dry properly. The place was quite busy, mainly Chinese customers, but they were quiet and discreet. Practical bits: they provide two bottles of water daily and disposable paper towels (which actually came in handy given the humidity). The room also had a washing machine (bring your own detergent) and you can hang clothes outside on the 9th floor veranda. There's a bus stop right outside with direct services to Xian Lu (shopping and basement food market) and the Transport University area night market, the subway goes straight to the airport, and you're walking distance from the main tourist spots like Russian Street, the old tram etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. And two convenience stores on ground floor. This place accepts foreign tourists and check-in was quick and easy. Internet was fast but slower in the evenings. Honestly, some of the complaints I've read here seem a bit harsh considering what you're paying. You get what you pay for, and at this price point in this location, I think it's fair value. I'd stay here again, especially if travelling on a budget. Thank you, we had a lovely time in Dalian!"

"I came to Dalian alone to visit a classmate, and I highly recommend this guesthouse. The location is excellent, right near Heishijiao beach, with plenty of food options nearby and convenient transportation. The environment is also great. What touched me most was the service; every staff member served with care, greeting me warmly whenever I entered or left. The most moving part was on my last day when I had a stomach ache. The front desk staff (a young man and woman) allowed me to check out late and offered me a place to rest on the sofa, even bringing me tea and water. I'm very touched, thank you all. Highly recommended!"

"The environment is absolutely beautiful! My kids loved the castle, both inside and out. The exterior is stunning, and the interior is not only beautiful but also a lot of fun, especially the soft play area and the craft activities. The service was excellent, particularly Amanda who assisted me. The hotel's butler contacted me the day before check-in and thoughtfully helped me with all my concerns regarding check-in, the room, and luggage storage. It was truly considerate. The service was great; she tracked my flight the whole time and responded instantly to any questions I had, helping me resolve them. This experience was genuinely fantastic and very thoughtful. Next time, I'd definitely stay here again for the service alone, and I'll be sure to find Amanda."

"The room was upgraded, but the smell was very strong as soon as I entered the room. It was a musty smell, especially the bathroom on the first floor. The smell was very strong when I opened the door. I guess it was the bathroom on the first floor that made the whole room smell bad, but the bed on the second floor There is a small bathroom next to the head, but you can't take a shower. This room has no windows, only a door, and there is a small courtyard at the door that can only accommodate a table. But outside the courtyard is a big stage, which is very noisy. They sing and then dance, and finally play foreign music until ten o'clock in the evening. It was quiet. The front desk service was pretty good and the attitude was very good. However, the breakfast takeout I ordered was not delivered to my room. Some of the takeout orders I ordered were placed on the table in the lobby and some were placed on the cabinet next to me. I had to go to the lobby twice to get all the takeaways. Management is not very standardized."

"This hotel is located in a superb 👍, the door is the light rail line 3, there is also a direct train to the Kingdom, eating is also very convenient, a few minutes walk to the beach. The boss service is also very good, very pleasant once."

"I had the most wonderful stay here. Firstly, the homestay itself is so clean and pretty. My room was exactly as it was in the pictures. I had a bathtub by the window with a seaview and a large room all to myself. The warm lighting made the ambience even more spectacular. I absolutely loved the New Chinese Style Interior Design. It is one of my favourite interiors, and it was such a dream to stay here. The complimentary Chinese tea set was refreshing. The staff here is excellent, too! I was attended by Mr. Sun, who spoke good English (which was very helpful for me as I am a foreigner with limited Mandarin). Upon my request, Mr. Sun provided me with a vegetarian breakfast and even brought it to my ropm to enjoy. It was a very substantial breakfast: millet porridge, warm milk, steamed sweet potato, corn on the cob, Broccoli, carrots, pumpkin, and a vegetable bao with fruits. There is also a complimentary bracelet-making station for homestay guests. Mr. Sun also provided me with free-flow drinking water as the weather was lovely and sunny. Location-wise, you can walk to the nearby theme park by crossing the pedestrian bridge and there are plenty of (high-end seafood restaurants) but there is also a supermarket and restaurant next door that was within my budget. The view of the bridge from my room at night was absolutely beautiful with the lights. Overall, I would really encourage anyone visiting Dalian to stay here! 😍😍 Thank you so much, Qingsong Yaju!"

"This is a really nice, cozy little house. I've traveled a lot and stayed in a lot of B&Bs, and the value for money is super high. I give this one 100 points. Whether it's the warm and welcoming attitude of the customer service or the clean, hygienic, convenient and easy-to-use facilities, you can see the careful maintenance and love of life. I love it! I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it. Look at the pictures I took, the Eight Horses map is so fun! Hahaha"
