"Absolutely fantastic! From the moment you step inside, you can tell it's a guesthouse with a great artistic vibe. We traveled during the off-peak season, so parking right outside was incredibly easy. The rooftop view is amazing, and the tatami bed was super comfortable to sleep on. The soundproofing in the room is also excellent. There were five of us, and having two sinks in the room was really convenient and clean. The shower and toilet were also separate, which was great. I'm not much of a photographer, so I didn't take many pictures, but the room truly is beautiful. The basement level is a coffee shop, and I imagine taking photos there while having afternoon tea would turn out wonderfully! Since I had my child with me, I just took my drink back to the room. Next time, I'll definitely come without the kids!
Service: The front desk staff were incredibly kind and gentle. When we checked out, we had a small issue with the key card due to our own mistake, but they patiently helped us resolve it, allowing us to end our trip on a perfect note."

"Our scenic room faced Xinghai Park directly, and the large windows offered expansive views, making it perfect for relaxation. The hotel's location is adjacent to Xinghai Square, with the coast just a few hundred meters away. Dalian is small, so taxis can take you anywhere.
The front desk staff were warm and professional. When we noticed a hole in our bedsheet upon check-in, they handled it promptly.
The interior decor is unique, and they don't skimp on quality, providing a Midea electric kettle and Xiangyin tissues.
Minor drawback: Venice Water Town is an artificial attraction that, despite its reputation, doesn't quite live up to the hype."

"The room is great, and the location is excellent. It's a high-rise hotel with free parking. I was on a solo road trip, and parking in the deep underground garage was a bit daunting at first, but after the first time, I realized it was quite simple. Plus, you don't need to re-enter your details every time, which is very convenient. The hotel room is on a very high floor. I couldn't appreciate it yesterday due to the heavy fog, but this morning, the view facing the pier is fantastic. Being a high-rise hotel, the surrounding area is very lively, with plenty of late-night food stalls and bathhouses not far away. It's clearly a very central location, highly recommended!"

"The front desk offers free luggage storage after check-out, which is very convenient. The room was well-equipped, and the cleanliness was excellent. They thoughtfully assigned a quiet room for my child who was taking an exam, and it was indeed very peaceful. The coffee provided on the first floor was also great, and having a microwave available was a huge plus. It had everything we needed, making our stay very convenient, and it's close to the beach too!"

Being so close to Xinghai Beach was a game-changer—I loved starting my mornings with a stroll on the sand. The hotel itself felt really welcoming, with cozy rooms that made me feel right at home. The staff were really friendly, always ready to chat or offer tips on what to see in the area. There's usually sojourners who can speak English to help international tourists. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. I’m already planning my next visit!

GGuest UserWe chose the Hilton Jinshitan for our kids' spring break, and the location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to Discoveryland, and you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach. If you prefer to stay put, there's plenty of sand for digging right by the hotel. The hotel's own playground and pool kept the kids entertained for hours. It's a great choice for a relaxing, slow-paced vacation.

Hhrk0410I visited with my children for a hot spring trip. It was very cold outside, but as soon as we entered the hotel lobby, it felt incredibly warm.
Ms. LIA was truly wonderful. She arranged a comfortable, child-friendly room for us and promptly delivered all the necessities we requested.
Since it was our first time here and we weren't familiar with the area, she also recommended some fantastic restaurants near Gastein, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
The hot springs were so relaxing and warming, and the breakfast was excellent too.
This is definitely a place I'd love to visit again. Thank you so much!

YYugutouThe hotel is good. We upgraded to a twin room when we brought our children. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Xinghai Park, which is very convenient. However, I don’t know if the sign at the hotel door represents the hotel. We made a phone call to book a one-day trip to Lushun for convenience. We agreed that the small group of 10 people was actually a large group of 20+ people. The previous communication mainly required visiting three attractions. As a result, After getting on the bus, we collected 1,300. In the end, we didn't go to any of these three attractions. It felt like a wasted day (they even took us to the Snake House, which included shopping). Please be careful to avoid pitfalls.

AAFANGAFANGThis stay was absolutely perfect! I initially booked for one night just to try it out, but after that first night, I extended my stay for three more.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in Dalian's city center with convenient transportation. It's about a 10-minute walk from the train station following the navigation, but it's not directly facing the station square, so the environment is quite pleasant. The hotel is surrounded by a vibrant commercial district and dining options, with many large shopping malls. Tianjin Street is just a few dozen meters away, and the Lantern Festival celebrations there were so lively during the Chinese New Year. Zhongshan Square is less than a 10-minute walk away. On my first night, I couldn't wait to see Zhongshan Square lit up at dusk – it was freezing in winter, so there weren't many people on the large square, but the light show was incredibly beautiful. Russian Street is also within walking distance. For Dongguan Street and Xi'an Street, they're not far from the hotel, and you can easily get there by taking an old tram. In short, it's convenient to get anywhere from here.
Hotel service quality: The main reception is on the 16th floor. The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and very friendly. Check-in was quick, and they even upgraded my room – wonderful! I especially want to thank Mr. Wang Tao; he answered all my questions with great patience. It was quite a coincidence that he was the one who assisted me with both check-in and check-out.
The hotel is bright and clean, very tasteful, and fully equipped with comfortable bedding and excellent hygiene. The dining options are diverse. I particularly recommend their free laundry service. This hotel is definitely worth recommending to friends visiting Dalian.

1. The sea view from the room is unbeatable. Lying in bed and watching the sea was incredibly relaxing.
2. The location is great. You can just walk downstairs and stroll around Xinghai Square, and the elevator offers a panoramic view of the entire square.
3. The service was decent. Most requests were met, but there were still some areas where they fell short.
Cons:
1. The facilities are a bit dated. The shower water fluctuated between hot and cold, and the shower faucet was so confusing – it took me ages to figure it out by trial and error. It was also incredibly stiff and hard to turn, and I was worried about breaking it, which was a hassle.
2. The breakfast selection was too limited and felt quite perfunctory. The taste was just average. There wasn't even a coffee machine in the room. For 2000 a night during the May Day holiday, these facilities simply don't justify the price.
3. The windows were too dirty, which really impacted the beauty of my photos.
4. You have to go downstairs yourself to pick up food deliveries. As for luggage, they only helped us take it from the car to the front desk, not up to the room.
5. The parking in front of the lobby was chaotic. Some cars were blocking the entrance, and our taxi was stuck outside and couldn't get in. The security staff didn't do a good job of directing vehicles.
Overall, it's a very average five-star hotel standard. It's definitely not worth 2000/day; it's more like a 1000-level hotel. The sea view premium probably accounts for a large portion of the room rate.

GGuest UserWhen I first saw the photos, I fell in love with it instantly. After booking the room, I was worried it might be a 'photo trap,' but once I arrived, I found it completely exceeded my expectations.
All the photos I've shared are real, unedited shots. The view outside the window is indeed breathtaking. Due to the angle, watching the sunrise while lying down is a bit of a challenge 😂, but standing up does the trick. The sunrise over the sea is absolutely stunning! The room temperature was also perfectly warm, so even though I encountered snowy weather, I was able to watch the sunrise comfortably without freezing.
Honestly, just looking out at the blue sea from the window is incredibly beautiful. I don't think there's any need to go to those trendy cafes; sitting on the balcony offers the best mountain and sea views.
The service was also great. Luggage handling and cleaning were all fine. The housekeeper noticed I asked about breakfast times and mentioned I might not be able to get up early, so the next day, they brought it directly to my room.
Personally, I don't see any downsides. This room type is a bit small, but it's perfectly sufficient for one person. One minor suggestion: it would be great to have a laundry basket. The clothes hangers are made of rope, which looks very artistic and nice, but women usually have more clothes, so there weren't quite enough hangers.

OOosunxiaomeioOFor our May Day trip to Dalian, we specifically chose the Shangri-La Dalian, a classic five-star hotel that's been open for nearly 30 years. Overall, the service was reassuring.
Despite the large holiday crowds, the hotel handled the peak well. They temporarily expanded the lobby lounge into a breakfast area, and the dining experience was orderly. The staff at the Horizon Club on the 25th floor were also gentle and patient, very friendly towards children. Their exclusive breakfast, snacks, and dinner were particularly thoughtful.
I must give a special shout-out to the hotel's swimming pool! The space is tall, spacious, and filled with sunlight. The entire area feels dry and not stuffy. The public areas were meticulously clean, and the pool service was excellent. The pool depth design is incredibly reasonable; the main pool's shallowest point is 1.3 meters, and there's a dedicated shallow children's pool, perfect for infants and toddlers. It's very family-friendly, and the kids had a great time.
The basic room space was sufficient, with a practical sofa, work area, and luggage rack. However, the hardware issues due to its age were prominent: the mattress was too firm and light, and there were few pillow options, leading to an average sleep experience. The bathroom lacked a separate toilet room, and the sink area was cramped. Additionally, the bath towels were too small and thin, not meeting five-star standards. I recommend the hotel promptly replace mattresses, pillows, and other amenities, and upgrade consumables to improve overall detail quality.
