I was out all day and didn't have time to do laundry, but I told the front desk in the morning that I was coming back and they had already sent my clothes back to my room! Great place to relax with promenade walks early in the morning or evening to watch the ships come and go. Great small shops and places to eat, great coffee shop and home bakery from breakfast. Came to Dalian for the May Day holiday and moved from the city since we were going to Jinshitan the next day. The staff called a day in advance to ask if we had kids and said they would pull out the sofa bed for us. We arrived after 9 PM, tired with a child, so I specifically re-confirmed at the front desk if the room was ready. They said yes, but when we got to the room, it wasn't... The underground parking was inconvenient. The barrier wouldn't lift when entering, and the rolling door would close. When leaving, the barrier wouldn't lift either, and I was worried about the car sliding on the ramp. Each time, I had to call the front desk to get the barrier lifted. The next day at breakfast, it was clear the hotel couldn't handle the capacity. There were very few tables, and when people arrived with no place to sit, a staff member just said, 'Go to the meeting room.' I looked around, but there were no signs or staff guiding us. I really wanted to ask, 'Where is this meeting room?' Later, while a staff member was clearing tables, they spilled someone else's leftover milk on my husband's clothes, which was very annoying. They gave us a small gift when we left, but I still wanted to point out these shortcomings.
