This hotel swooped in to save our evening when another nearby hotel ”lost” our reservation. We were thankful to be welcomed with a free upgrade and in time to grab a beer from the snack area. The room was basic, but very clean and extremely quiet. We had to skip the made-to-order breakfast, but were pleasantly surprised by the choices. We will definitely make this location one of our first choices when we are traveling to Madison again.

We paid for a beautiful full view of the capital. The problem: the thermostat is stuck on 67 degrees. The air conditioner can’t keep up with the afternoon heat blazing through the windows and our room is so hot that we have to keep the drapes closed, so we can’t enjoy the beautiful view. The front desk said they would lower the temp, but an hour later they said they couldn’t. Funny, the temperature in the lobby and common areas were not hot. I think if their area was hot the front desk would help with solution .

We were very impressed by the quality of the service, the accommodations, and the entire overall experience. The front desk staff, in particular Daphne and Cassie, patiently went above and beyond to resolve some very complicated 3rd-party booking confusion on a holiday weekend!

We stayed one night in this hotel. Hotel was clean. Room was spacious and included a mini fridge. Bed was comfortable. Staff at complimentary breakfast was helpful. Breakfast had good selections. There is a McDonald’s in walking distance. Nice location close to highway. A nice place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

It is a nice and well-maintained extended stay hotel. The location is quiet and the parking is plenty. The breakfast is nice although it could use some variety from meat Pattie’s. The elevator is slow but it is only three stories. So we walked. The nightly socials are hit and miss, depending on who is staffing. One night, only mashed potatoes were provided along with leftover salads from morning. Clearly the staff person had no interest cooking/preparing anything. Again, nightly socials are extras so I do not want to lower their rating.

We stayed for five days at Hampton Inn & Suites Madison-West during the December holidays to be near family. The staff were friendly and helpful, always having coffee, tea and hot chocolate available adjacent to the front desk. The pool was very family friendly which we enjoyed with younger family members. Our room on the fifth floor was spacious and we enjoyed their good complimentary breakfast every day we were there. Several high school sports teams were staying there but it was quiet throughout the halls.. Highly recommend.
