Holiday Inn Express & Suites Daocheng Yading Reviews

We arrived before 11am and were given 2 upgraded suite rooms immediately. The rooms were clean, comfortable & huge. When our flight to Chengdu was cancelled, we needed to stay an extra night and the hotel was quite full. The counter staff was very accommodating, allowed us to continue staying in the suite & matched the discounted internet room rates. For free & easy travellers, having breakfast after 8am would be less crowded.

Great room. Good staying

First of all I would like to thank the 2 young women on daytime reception for their help, particularly in translating- I speak neither Chinese nor *******. When I stayed, this hotel had huge clientele, - even though the National Holidays were over- many coaches and minibuses. With so many people there for one reason - walking in the Yading National Park - breakfast had a base-camp feel, as people rushed to get to the mountain or the airport. The situation of the hotel is good just outside Shangri-la Town (and right next door to the hospital) It is convenient to get to the scenic area whilst staying at a relatively low height...altitude sickness being a risk at these heights. The room was cosy and warm.

Excellent to go to Yading Nature Reserve. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. This hotel is a bit further from the center of town but it’s only a 15 min walk there.

Lisa met us upon arrival, she was warm and friendly. She organized the room on the same floor as my friends. The room was clean but a little tired. Christina acted a good concierge giving great recommendations on dinner and massage. She gave us a map of route 318. Breakfast was very sub-standard, food was hot but not tasty.

Thank you to the hotel for upgrading us to a suite. The room is very spacious. Xiao Si gave us welcome fruit. The hotel service is good. The matsutake chicken soup pot in the restaurant is delicious. The only shortcoming is that the water in the shower room overflows when taking a shower.

It turns out that the smaller the town, the more you should book a branded hotel. The overall environment is clean and tidy, the sanitation is good, the smell is fresh, and there are no bad restaurants. The restaurant downstairs tastes good, the price is reasonable, and it is clean and hygienic. Xiaona at the front desk is also very attentive and responsible. When I arrived early, I quickly coordinated a vacant room and checked in quickly.

I really want to thank the hotel staff Xiao Zhang and Lacuo! It was already nine o'clock in the evening when we arrived during our self-driving tour. The two staff members upgraded us to a panoramic double room for free and gave us welcome fruit! He very warmly gave me a map of our scenic spot and explained it patiently! The dinner at the hotel was really delicious. I was so excited to have such a delicious meal at night! The hotel's large bed room can sleep four people without any problem, it is very comfortable!

The hotel also upgraded the room for free. The young lady Lacuo and the young brother Xiaosi at the front desk provided really great service. They also explained the travel guide to us very thoughtfully, which made us feel very comfortable and made us feel like we were back home! The room layout is very good, spacious enough, clean and tidy! The hotel is about 3 kilometers away from Daocheng Yading attractions. There is a health center 300 meters away. It is also open at night and you can order takeaway. It is very convenient and highly recommended!

Thanks to the lady at the front desk for helping me upgrade to a suite, I'm very happy. All satisfied. The only thing was that I met a tour group in the morning, a pack of wolves came out of the mountain, and grabbed a bite in the morning. Ha ha

This hotel chain is definitely trustworthy. Parking is convenient and it is very close to Daocheng Yading Scenic Area. The matsutake chicken is very fresh and delicious, and the dipping sauce tastes good. Because the room type I booked was sold out, I upgraded to a business suite room. The room was large and clean. I booked it for two consecutive nights. After going out during the day, I could clearly feel that the room had been cleaned after I came back. It was very good.

The front desk is very warm. Thank you to the two ladies, Lacuo and Xiao Zhang, for explaining the scenic spots guide to us. Our stay is very comfortable, the room facilities are complete, and the service is great, 👍

Service: The front desk service was enthusiastic. I was upgraded to a suite, and took the initiative to introduce the ways to play and routes in Aden Scenic Area.
