Sweet Happy Journey Homestay

Rooms- It's a Chadar Badlo room not a tall family stay, even rooms and belongings are much more clean during hostel days. Housekeeping & Service - Nill butta sannata, not even mineral water, bedsheet dirty that's not their fault, water not available they don't care, Geyser not working - that guest issue. Staffs- full on charsi, always high, no manners, including owner Kaushik Banerjee. Location- not suitable for any age traveller as too much inclined and declined walking that too on broken road. Map shows 600 meters but due inclined and declined it feels like 4-5 kms. Overall- Worst decision ever made while choosing this for family stays. This property doesn't even deserves 1*, complete pathetic people with zero behaviour.

What i really liked about my stay that is the behaviour of staff and owner. Also the valley and mountain view from the room's common balcony and terrace was eye catching

Property's location was really very nice. There was a boy name meghnad, cooks really delicious foods. Owners behaviour is also very good. But this place is not recommended for those who have some problem with legs and not recommended for pregnant women also.

I could not find thesweet happy journey homestat, the contact no given is unreachable, at last i have to book in another hotel. So kindly refund back my booking amount. I did not stay, there because i could not find the hotel.

We had to go down the stairs for like 30mins to reach the hotel. rooms are very very tiny. believe my words rooms are very very small. couple with a child will not fit the bed.no space for even keeping the luggages. We had to look for another hotel.Very bad experience.

Hello, we have planned for 2 nights stay near mall road darjeeling and found this homestay located 15 mins walking distance downhill from chowrasta. I have paid just for 2 nights. Our first experience was treble there. First location was not showing correctly in google maps we called the owner and asked him about the site. Firstly he was surprised to know that someone has booking at that day. He asked to wait near the central resort and he was supposed to send someone but we kept on waiting and no one came. Somehow we managed to locate by asking and being guided by owner to reach there. But the hotel was located at downhill and the steps was horrified to go down. I am travel-ling with my mother (64yrs) and sister (23yrs. It was a treble experience to go down with that cemented steps. After that we saw the room it was nice but at the same time it was very cozy. We have booked for 3 people but there was only one double bed no extra pillow or blanket or bed provided by the owner although i have paid for all three of us. One more important thing was when we came after a walk at 7- 9pm same the we found no water in our room. We asked the owner to supply the water but he asked to wait for 5mins. Somehow he arranged a bucket of water and told us to adjust for sometime. His behaviour was totally arrogant. We had dinner that day at the hotel i found all the hotel staffs including the owner was drunk and owner was drinking at that time when we are having our dinner at the rooftop. I asked how food is made i gave him feedback the it was avg he and other staffs were laughing and asking again and again that you didn't liked the food. We were stuck at that place we are so afraid to complain against the owner at that time. We had some terrible experiences with this stay.

Excellent customer service. And good place to stay and you can enjoy excellent view of kanchenjunga from the hotel
