Hotel Viceroy

To begin with, visit to Darjeeling in Peak season of May has its own challenges and one visiting in this period must keep this in mind.Too much of traffic jam can kill your excitement. But staying at Viceroy Hotel provides you immense comfort and care. We stayed at the 6th floor attic room (Lord Mountbatten). It has big windows and you can get Kanchenjunga view from the corner of it but the direct view is of buildings which is not expected when you stay at such premium room. But you cannot help it. However other pluses negate this only minus. The Room is really big and spacious. Separate sofa cum bed is there for the 3rd person. It is a wooden room which provides quite a mountain feeling in the town. Room and bathroom was very clean. When we mentioned about the stains on the quilt it was changed immediately. Room is being cleaned everyday. The room is equipped with mini fridge, Microwave, electric kettle, Tea/coffee arrangement, TV. The Hotel has lift facility but if electricity is not there you may have to take stairs as the lift does not operate on DG. Another great part of the hotel is their restaurant and the room service. The food is great. The breakfast buffet was quite sumptuous and tasty. We also ordered food for dinner that too was quite good. Must mention the Manager Mr.Arindam Sen. A fellow Calcuttan and so very courteous and caring. He personally attends all the guests with an ever charming smile. He also helped us in food arrangement when my wife got a little bit sick. We are so very impressed with his hospitality. This hotel provides excellent view of Kanchenjunga from the top floor rooms and from the roof deck. Location wise it is centrally located. A 10 min walk to the Mall and 10 min walk to Darjelling station. All in all it was a nice stay and I recommend it for sure.

The luxurious stay, the "feel at home" hospitality, transportation for both pick-drop and sightseeing, the special Darjeeling Tea arranged by Mr. Arindam Sen made Darjeeling special even without "The Mighty Kanchenjunga" which hid herself from us covering into a blanket of cloud and mist!! It was among one of the best stays i had so far.. every thing was top notch be it service, food or the vibe. I highly recommend, when you visit Darjeeling, this place for stay MUST be in the list!! Special thanks to all the staff and specially Mr.Arindem Sen for making out stay more leisurely with the dine management and flavourful food..

The hotel has the most helpful and cordial staff. Rooms are warm,comfy and have a novel heritage feel. The menu was elaborate and buffet spread was sumptuous as well as delicious . The engagement of hotel staff ,especially Mr Arindam Sen was praiseworthy. Definitely recommend all future travelers to consider Viceroy hotel as their second abode during their travel escapade.

Viceroy hotel is a nice place to stay. One important point I would like to mention about Arindam Sen Manager who took care personally when my relative was sick. He provided dal khichadi. This is going out of the way by Staff and I am very thankful to him and this experience was awesome. Thank you .

Amazing place to stay. Service is really good. Housekeeping is quite fast. Food is excellent. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Hotel is located at the prime area, reliance Mall, Nathmulls and other shops are at a walkable distance.

Experience has been exceptional at Viceroy. They have excellent staff, excellent food and services were very good. Rooms were nice ambient lit and perfect for couple stays. Washrooms were clean. Best of the bunch was the restaurant staff, they are real gentleman, very well spoken and paid attention to every guest’s needs. Will recommend the property highly to relatives and will visit again. Lasty, view is available for kanchan junga range, which is really nice.

We stayed here for 3 night from 2-5th May . Room had beautiful view of Darjeeling . Interior of room is extremely beautiful. Room service was also quick and good, whatever we requested it came promptly. In Breakfast & dinner there were excellent buffet and with tasty foods. The manager, Mr Arindam was very friendly and take care of everything. He also served special dal-khichadi for my 1 year's son . Also the view from the terrace was awesome ❤️
