Room cling very poor corridor not clean

Very great day. Food. Amenat. Very great rooms are very beautiful. Staff are very helpful. Location is very good. Very highest. Breakfast. Dinner very good.

The property is quite conveniently located in darjeeling. The rooms were comfortable and the food was good. We were not aware that it was a veg only hotel. But that didn't take anything away from the overall excellent experience.

Hotel lobby and food is good but the room bathroom are like hostel bathroom. We stayed for 2 days and we found food is good. Restaurant is vegetarian. Hotel entrance is good and hotel is a bit away from mall road. They did not provide slippers for room as it was very cold we have to wear our own shoe in room. Bathroom was extremely pathetic with no curtain and mat and worst part was the tiling of the bathroom, afterward we came to know from our taxi driver that it was earlier school which was converted to hotel, so may be they forgot to renovate the bathroom which is still same as school bathroom. Also the entrance of the hotel is very steep and difficult to climb for old age people.

We were very disappointed with the behaviour of the ***ager & the front office staff. We had a booking for 4 nights, due to a sudden demise of one of our very near one in the family we had to return on the 3rd day. The ***ager & the front office staff had no empathy in spite of being in the service & hospitality industry & behaved very rudely with us. They did not prove any partial refund the money & asked us to directly liaise as the booking was done through the site. Moreover they charged extra 1000 per day as my daughter was staying wit us. We did not take any extra bed or facility for her but they said that since she had complimentary breakfast & their hotels child policy we have to pay this amount. We offered to pay for the breakfast as in any case they were not providing the refund but instead talk another for her stay. This is extremely money making attitude of the ***agement with no empathy & worst customer service. The hotel coz of its location is quite overpriced, the shower was not working, the glass partition in the bathroom had cracks & the service was very slow. I have taken this issue as i am a very old customer of them but they have not been able to provide any suitable resolution on the issue faced & said the hotel is not cooperating & has denied partial refund. Also the hotel has a spa which is not operational for the last 2 months.

Staff extremely friendly. Hotel room was very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options.

Good staff good service and the best stay amazing hospitality

We have stayed in istana resort last week for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience, everything was fabulous, the resort is around 15 min walkable distance from main darjeeling clock tower in a very good location with a beautiful view of darjeeling and kanchenjunga, the restaurant serves vegetarian food only and they have buffet with different food options which really taste good, all staffs are very polite and well ***nered, animesh and other restaurant staff always take good care of their guest, the view from the room and their lobby is amazing, actually we have booked 7 months before and got a very big discounted price, at first we thought that hotel will deny us check in as there was a huge price difference between our booked room and hotel current room price but then make my trip confirmed us that our booking is confirmed and there will be no issue of check in as they have already talked with the hotel ***agement and confirmed our stay, our trip really got memorable because of make my trip and this beautiful resort, than x to mr jaison and priyanka (istana resort ***agement team) for your hospitality !

Beautiful ambience, best view of kanchenjunga, clean and tidy. Staffs and room service are good, value for money
