The room is clean and comfortable, with certain smart facilities. In addition, this time I am traveling with my family dog, which is pet-friendly. I recommend it to friends who bring furry children to Datong. The hotel is very close to the ancient city of Datong, and there are many fruit shops and restaurants around. This is an exquisite and quiet courtyard. There are not many rooms but it is very bright. It can be seen that the design of the rooms and the courtyard has been carefully thought out. It’s raining, so I just sit under the umbrella and order a takeaway. I think of my childhood home, enjoy the rain and hold up my chopsticks to reminisce about the past. As the summer night falls and the lights first come on, we sit scattered on the stone steps, or half-lying on armchairs. The owner of the hospital brings iced drinks, watermelon and cantaloupe. He has just picked up a family of guests in the car and promised to take us to the scenic spots. We became friends and sat in the courtyard chatting together, accompanied by the cool evening breeze, enjoying the quiet moment before going to bed!

The location is great, near the west gate in the ancient city (about five minutes walk), three minutes walk to Huayan Temple, five or six minutes walk to Sandaocai Bell Tower, and one minute to Huayan Temple bus station. During the May Day holiday, the ancient city is restricted by time, so the area near the bus station and the ancient city gate is very important. If you stay in the B&B hotels in the ancient street at the entrance of Huayan Temple, you have to walk out to take a bus (the pedestrian street car can't enter), so the location is really amazing. The scenic spots in the ancient city can be reached by bus.
The first floor is the lobby (café), the second floor is the guest rooms, restaurant and courtyard, and there is a balcony on the second floor, where you can drink tea or coffee while looking at Huayan Temple. The breakfast is a set meal, very healthy, with fruits, eggs, vegetables, co**** grains, knife-cut noodles, bread slices, etc.
The room we stayed in was not particularly large, but it was ok. Only the bathroom was slightly small, with complete bathroom supplies and clean hygiene.
The service was very good, there was water and sea buckthorn juice in the room, and it was a very warm family. The child said that he would stay here again when he came to Datong next time, and he wanted to change to a room with a loft.

Great apart from the wifi and coffee machine
Very clean, very modern. Lovely rooms and great staff. Excellent customer service. But, the wifi was terrible, only 10mb and this impacted a number of planned meetings. Coffee machine at breakfast didn’t work well and breakfast buffet was a bit crowded. Ithink wifi struggled because hotel was full of customers. Mostly tour groups.

Breakfast is rich and delicious. I recommend the sliced noodles and steamed buns, which are not inferior to the taste of big restaurants outside! The fruits are very fresh, and there are also suitable cold dishes and hot dishes, which are different every day. The grilled chicken wings, boiled shrimps, and stir-fried shrimps are of good quality.
The midnight snack is a variety of porridge, which is simple but warm; free fruit is also provided, and the quality is very good.
The freshly ground coffee at the front desk can be taken away!

DDzintarsThe hotel is really good and convenient. It's in a walking distance from the Ancient City and Walls, there are several small shops and local food stalls around it. The breakfast is completely Chinese style, but it's good.
The gym is very small, in fact, not even a separate room, just very few machines, but it was not that important for us.
Personnel are very helpful. Everyone did their best to make our stay comfortable. Especially, the manager Kristina - she is very kind, helpful, assisted us a lot, with some practical things and some advice, when it was necessary.
Definitely, will stay here another time.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is from the era where they used marble tiles in the bathrooms and heavy quality wood furniture which is pretty charming. Bed was very comfortable and staff were generally helpful altho a couple of the reception staff were quite brusque, also they spoke really fast in an accent I couldn't always understand. I think they should be more mindful of visitors from abroad. The most helpful and courteous member of staff was the bellhop.
The hotel claims to be non-smoking which is a joke cuz my room reeked of cigarette smoke and I told the staff so when she brought me there but she just said oh they've already turned down the room. Since I stayed for only 1 night, I didn't make a fuss. But non-smoking rooms are generally a joke in China, there is no enforcement and smokers have no consideration for others. Non-smokers in this country have no rights.

From the moment you step into the hotel lobby, you can feel the warm service attitude of the hotel staff. Whether it's the polite reception by the bellman or the meticulous attention to detail at the front desk, every detail reveals the hotel's respect and care for its guests. This kind of enthusiasm is not limited to the front desk. The floor attendants and lobby managers also make people feel at home: the temperature is cooling down today and the wind is very windy outside. When we arrived, the doorman took the initiative to help arrange parking spaces. Knowing that we had a lot of luggage, he helped push the luggage trolley. I discovered that another helpful gentleman was the lobby manager. Mr. Yang, who came over all the way, learned that we were traveling to Datong and enthusiastically told us that if we went to see the ancient capital lantern festival, the hotel had a free round-trip line; as soon as we checked in at the lobby, we watched the warm Tea and hand towels; special thanks to Mr. Yang Wenyuan, the lobby manager
There were even more surprises in the room. All toiletries are from the L'Occitane brand, providing guests with a high-quality experience. In addition, the hotel has also carefully prepared children's dental kits and slippers, fully considering the needs of families with children. There are also small lucky bags placed in the room, which are full of the charm of traditional Chinese culture, allowing people to feel the strong festive atmosphere during the journey.

So far, the only drawback is the placement and privacy of the bathtub in the room. It is not convenient for the whole family to travel together.

JJamesHarrisI actually stayed here for three nights, in two different rooms. Both the rooms were very spacious and light, which I appreciated. The room wasn’t spotlessly clean but definitely satisfactory for the price paid. The biggest problem for me was with the bathroom. In the first bathroom, the smell of smoke seemed to be coming through the vent from another room, and in both bathrooms the shower would benefit from hotter water and better water pressure. Despite this, the manager and the sister who worked on the reception were both very friendly and helpful. The manager let me use her phone number for my food delivery(so she could speak to and direct the driver) and even drove me to the hospital to take a COVID test on my last night. They couldn’t have done more to help me and I really appreciated it. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Datong.

GGeorgeI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

Environment: Located in the southeast of the city, it is convenient to go out of the city. There are also buses to the Drum Tower. The ancient city itself is not big, and living in the ancient city is also for the convenience of wandering around the ancient city.

VVSTWe enjoyed our three nights stay in this hotel. Quiet and clean except for some not so pleasant smell from the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. This includes the free pickup transport driver, the front desk staff and the janitors as well. The breakfast provided by the hotel was so delicious and nutritious, too. We enjoyed the three mornings breakfast with different menu for three consecutive days. The chef and his wife were also very cheerful to see us enjoy their cooking. 👍👍👍👍👍
This hotel is located near to Datong South Railway Station. If you are using the public bus, there are five buses passing through :#68,#66,#61,#31,#14.
Bus #68 & #66 also go to the city. The traveling time from the hotel to the city by public bus is about ½ an hour, ticket price is 2 Yuan each. It's only 20mins by taxi, 15-20 Yuan.
