Panglao Chocolate Hills Resort

The fan rooms don't have hot water so it's a frosty shower daily -_- the balcony outside the room smelt of sewerage which wasn't pleasant. The staff were lovely though. Perhaps the huts around the pool would have been a better option but weren't available when I booked.

The place nice, relaxed and quiet. They have a nice vegan restaurant. The pool looks great but you wont need it, the place us literally 5 min walking distance away from the beach. The only thing that was a bit annoying was electrical outlet. It was a scavenger hunt to find them. They are there just in weird places that aren't very convenient. The staff is great and helpful, can help you find anything you need. Told us about a great viewing point (free and no people) for chocolate hills, 100℅ would recommend. They helped us rent bikes in the middle of the night.

A small quiet place. A freediving resort is here. Native room was stylish and spacious. Plumbing need to be fixed. A vegetarian resto - not my choice.

What a gem for the cost ... We spent 8 days as a family of 5 at the resort, and all agreed that we couldn't have got better value for money. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive and really helpful. The free yoga offering in the morning is just another plus ... even though I only participated once (really easy stretch and breath). After 2 weeks in the Philippines we were delighted to realise that Vedge Bohol (vegan restaurant) was on the premises after battling to find decent Vegan food for most of the trip. Between us we tried everything on the menu. My favorites were the Overnight Oats and Smoothy Bowls for breakfast and the Kare Kare or Vege Burgers for other meals. NOTE to readers ... it's only vegan food available but what a great opportunity to embrace vegan food for those of you who've never done it. For the freedivers or those interested in exploring freediving - the resort offers all the options. Thanks Team

The very best place to stay to go for freedivers and people wanting an introduction to freediving. Very good accommodations for travelers on a budget. It's more of a freediving school than a hostel but all are welcome. Yoga sessions for freedivers every morning and freediving classes at all levels for reasonable prices every morning. Fundives every day. There is a long circular pool. It's about a 400 meter walk to decent beach. It's a great beach to see the sun rise. There is an excellent vegetarian restaurant on the premises. The menu is not extensive but it's all delicious. Try the smoothie bowl and the granola bowl at breakfast. The healthy sisig was my favorite lunch. The daily special for supper was always great. The coffee, cappuccino and so on are very good. I stayed in a deluxe room at US$21/night. Dorm-type accommodations are available. The mattress was soft, which I like, and there was no hot water in any room. Cool showers are a cheap thrill so it's a feature, not a bug. Quiet hours are enforced but there are cats and roosters. Bring earplugs and ambien if you can get it. I'm a cranky old white guy but I really like this place. I'd give it 5 out of 5 if there were no cats and roosters. The clientele are almost all young backpacker types but all are welcome and made to feel at home.

The room I stayed in is quiet, good for someone like me who’s sensitive to noise when trying to sleep. The staff are very friendly and approachable. The Avocado Coffee and Pesto are my faves from their menu. I really enjoyed my stay here!
