Ehhh Hotel Smelled Like Cigarettes and had Mold !

The hotel was closed! It was damaged by Hurricane Ian the week before. No notice to us from the hotel or Trip. com. We arrived at 9pm. No room, no hotel and nothing available in the area. It was a long night.

Clean rooms, great customer service, traditional southern breakfast, and awesome views if you have a balcony.

This property was amazing. OceanView from the balcony as well as during breakfast downstairs. The food was amazing ranging from scrambled eggs and omelettes with sausage or bacon as well as pancakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls etc. and coffee, tea and juices. They are renovating the pool along with several other properties along that beach corridor, but the fitness centre with weights and cardio equipment also has OceanView. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay, even for people just going there to walk on the beach or chill out on their balcony to work on the computer. Lots of amenities in the area, even some walkable restaurants and shops. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

My fiancé and I were here for a few days and ended up leaving early and going to Orlando. We got an ocean front room and the second we walked in it instantly smelled like mold and animal urine. The smell went away after we let the room air out. The rooms A/C unit was very loud and noisy we had to keep turning it on and off at night because it would get too hot. The service was great at check in. We were eager to get here so we ended getting here before check in and they were gracious enough to get us check in. Besides the hotel, the area doesn’t have a lot around to walk too. I would not recommend staying in this area more than a day. We found an amazing bar/restaurant a few minutes away that we ended up going for lunch and dinner. The breakfast was subpar. Nothing there really except the general breakfast items. They did not have eggs but instead omelettes. Everything was just meh. Needless to say, we will not be back. They are under heavy construction due to the hurricane that happened the previous year. It’s not just this hotel it’s the whole area. The pier to the right is closed and almost every condo/hotel has construction going on. I would wait another year to visit.

The hotel is going through some maintenance because of the 2023 hurricane. There is no access to the beach from the hotel but there is a community access next door with a picnic table, bathroom and outside shower to wash off. The hotel is in need of some upgrades but it did not impact our stay. We had beautiful views of the ocean and a gorgeous sunrise from our balcony. Breakfast was delicious and served on time. This hotel is between the lighthouse and the main pier. It is family friendly.

Comfortable beds & very clean

We had some trouble this stay. Elevators weren’t working properly and they put us on the 11th floor knowing that. My husband had to walk up 11 floors with a heart condition. Also there was water on the floor in our room. Again they knew they were having trouble with the rooms that ended in 20 on the other floors but gave us 1120 anyway. When I told them about the water the next morning, they said we were notified but didn’t want to move. Now why would I be notifying them if they notified me? We should have never been put in that room or that floor! These are all problems that can happen in hotels and we get that… but I have to ding the staff on how it was handled. Our new room was very nice but also on the 11th floor. They assured me that the one elevator was fixed, which it was. We have to travel here once a month to help care for an elderly aunt but I’ll probably look for something else next time :(
