I have been coming to this hotel for 15 years. Where can you get an ocean front hotel that you can walk outside and be almost on the beach. It’s not for everyone, people that are not outdoorsy, expect a 5 star, and hate roughing it, stay away. I do miss the old manager, it felt like family. I was greeted like a rock star. Sandy is not a people person and isn’t warm at all. He does his job and leaves you alone. So that’s good. I think they need to put a few rooms aside and allow dogs, they need to move into the future and are missing out on some extra money. All the nice hotel allow pets with a charge, and what damage could they do at this place. When it comes to Daytona this hotel is one of my favorite but has lots of room for improvement.
