First off, we agree with the fact that the hotel room was clean. The thing that really got us was that we were told a price on the phone and there were added fees once we got to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the quote on the phone, and we made sure to give them our details to make sure the quote was correct. We were even told that my veteran status would get us an additional discount. Upon arrival to the hotel, though, the employee told us about additional charges based on occupancy (we had told them we would have 3 adults/1 child) and that there was no veterans discount. The total charge for the room was still reasonable, but the idea of not honoring a quote on the phone is not. As for the room itself, it had a huge refrigerator, no closet to hang coats/clothes and opened (empty) shampoo bottles. For the price, the room (again) wasn't the problem, but if we had known, we might have considered a different option with breakfast (which was a possibility for us at a different hotel). Just asking that transparency be part of the process in the future.
