Stonecross Manor Hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights . Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good . Bed was comfortable enough We didn't use any of the facilities - Pool Sauna etc The hotel needs a bit of TLC , the shower head in our room needed a good clean. Not a lot to do in Kendal town but we used the local bus service to take us into Windermere

We loved the steam room and hot tub after a day walking. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay agsin.

I loved everything about this hotel I was a lady on business so travelled on my own the staff were so friendly and from the offset they couldn’t do more I felt like I’d known them for years. The hotel was decorated to a very high standard it was clean and tidy. My room was on the second floor which is great when you are a female travelling alone and I felt safe. The food was out of this world they must have the best chef around as everything they served was delicious. Again the staff were all cheery and welcoming and made sure my visit was a great experience. I will be going back and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The pool area was clean although when I was there children were having swimming lessons and their parents were sat on the edge of the jacuzzi which was a tad off putting when you are trying to relax. The sauna was fabulous and the steam room although small was adequate the changing was small with a shower and hairdryer. Unfortunately the lockets were broken but this did not take away a lovely relaxing area (minus the swim instructor shouting to the kids..and minus the kids and their parents) it would have been a different experience if I’d avoided swimming lesson time. My room was lovely and lots of coffee and tea. I only drink decaffeinated and when I asked could I have some the lady went and got me some and said she’d get me more if required. There were good quality biscuits on the welcome tray and little soap bags which you invited to take home . These touches made you feel so welcome. The hotel was very busy with tourists yet the staff were attentive and ensured everyone had everything they needed. An exceptional hotel and even more exceptional staff.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival after a long journey and booked in. We made a reservation for our evening meal which was most enjoyable, hot and well presented by the staff. Our room was warm and welcoming, so thank you for a lovely stay, we look forward to returning.

overall i enjoyed the hotel it had loads of potential the mould around the windows needs to be removed and painted the silicon in the bathroom needs to be removed and the tiles freshly grouted the walls need pictures of local environment it would take me 2 hours to do the work
