Disclaimer: the Patterson Inn was apparently featured on an episode of "Portals to Hell", thus the title of the review. One of these days I'll track the episode down and watch it. So my wife and I stayed here during our brief visit to Denver and absolutely LOVED this hotel. You really can't ask for a better place to stay. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL. I was sold the moment I saw the photos. It's located in the Capital Hill neighborhood. The neighborhood, like the hotel, is gorgeous, and has a lot of points of interest within easy walking distance (such as the Molly Brown House Museum, the Colorado State Capital Building, etc). The room was clean, comfortable and fun. And quiet, which was a plus since I'm a fairly light sleeper. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful, and the owner, Chris, is awesome. He's very welcoming and will make you feel right at home. Also, do yourself a favor and DON'T MISS THE BREAKFAST. Seriously, this was delicious. The chef's friendliness is only surpassed by his skills in the kitchen. If we ever find ourselves in Denver again, we'll definitely be back.
