Hotel was very nice, super pretty inside and out. Was a bit bummed about the hot tub not being hot, but I watched them fill it in the morning and figured it wouldn't be real hot till late. At least I know for a fact it was clean! The steam and sauna are incredible!

Charming and sophisticated property. Close to many dining options. Lovely bar. Love the steam room, dry sauna, and huge hot tub. Great choices for breakfast. Amazingly friendly staff! Will stay here again in the near future and highly recommend for it’s unique atmosphere!

It's a gem. Antiquey lush lobby. Lovely room with fireplace that actually worked well. Easy walk to anything you need, including the capital and best restaurants, Centro. Front desk and management team were wonderful and accomodating. Cozy bar. Breakfast included was okay. Not for children.

Des Lux has such beautiful rooms ! The fireplace and whirlpool were so relaxing. Complimentary breakfast the next morning was delicious . There was so many choices ! We also love the Des Lux Bar and the bar manager , Sherry ! She makes the best cocktails

Beautiful hotel and everything felt luxurious! The gentleman at the front desk did an excellent job of making our stay special and went above and beyond, which you rarely experience nowadays. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful property. Fabulous free breakfast. Perfect hot tub. Beds were soo comfortable we slept in and almost missed breakfast. This is my favorite downtown des moines hotel.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff the breakfast was great a lot of choices to choose from. If you need somewhere to stay downtown, this is a wonderful place. The bar has the best bartender in Des Moines.

The hotel was beautiful and smelled so nice! We really enjoyed our couple’s massage. We walked a little over a block to a great Italian restaurant. Car felt safe in the parking garage across the street. Front desk staff was incredibly kind
