Comfort Inn & Suites Event Center

After a long trip we had access to parking, the elevator, complimentary snacks and it was very relaxing!

We've stayed here twice now both times for a get away for me and my fiance. This place has a great location. The staff are super friendly and the place is well kept. We will be staying here again.

This Comfort Inn & Suites is always on point! You can't beat the location (right off the expressway) with free parking & next to Wells Fargo Arena & many venues & restaurants. The staff were super helpful & friendly--they even let us have a late check-out! The beds were very comfortable with crisp white sheets and fluffy pillows. The bathroom & other areas were very clean. We didn't get a chance to use the work-out facility or pool. The complimentary breakfast included hot items--scrambled eggs & sausage & DIY fresh Belgian waffles! Also breads to toast and many other offerings. Will definitely stay here again!

Terrible, don’t stay with a sports team! Got kicked out of lobby seating area at 10pm. Our baseball team was staying here. All parents were super respectful having conversation at a normal volume level. We’ve stayed at many hotels with WAY better hospitality and have never had anything said. They told us they couldn’t hear phone calls, which was absolutely absurd.

We went to an event at the Iowa event center. This hotel is just one block from the north entrance of the event center. The breakfast was great. Lots to eat and fresh. However this is an older hotel so the rooms are small and could use a little more repair. If you don't mind doing a few flights of stairs I would ask for a lower room. There are only two elevators and they are slow and small. Check in was super and the lobby is large. Lots of parking.

Terrible customer service. General manager has no heart. We had a reservation and needed to cancel because my 5 month old baby was admitted to the hospital and couldn’t go anymore and they would not cancel and refund the money. I even had Choice guest relations call on our behalf and speak to the manager and they still said no. I travel for work a lot and normally stay at Choice hotels and will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

The building is an older building that I have stayed before so I can understand the older building aspect of size and design. Staff was amazing during a blizzard and very accomodating. The main set backs to the hotel is the advertised amenities of laundry with now laundry for guests to use and vending machines which were nice but on the 6th floor advertised $1.50 for items and got charged $2.00, which the vending machine contractor should change. Front desk referred me to the vendors number but number was not helpful in getting my my $0.50 back, I think they count on people putting much effort into getting their $0.50 they were robbed of back.

Everything physical about this stay was subpar. From the single ply toilet paper to the de-laminating shelves in the bathroom. I’ve stayed in motels nicer than this.
