The location is definitely good. GM’s display space at the bottom, minutes walk to downtown, river views… The furniture is a bit old, and there’s no hair dryer. The worst thing is that their towels have bad smell.

The room was ok. The location is also very good. The gym is huge and has a lot of equipment. Downstairs is the General Motors showroom. The breakfast was a bit poor. I was a bit annoyed at the long queue when I checked out. Since I had to catch a plane, I threw down my room card and left.

The hotel is a bit dated, it feels like the 1990s. There needs to be more outlets in the room. It is an excellent location.

We were impressed with the style and appearance of the GMC Renaissance Marriott but our room was just ok. There was no soap in the bathroom, towels were rough, and tub drain was clogged. IMO the pillows were uncomfortable, slept terrible. My husband didn't appreciate that you had to pay for coffee at the prices we paid to stay.

Detroit is absolutely an AMAZING city! Everytime I visit we always have a wonderful time. First and foremost the front dest staff was EVERYTHING, they made my stay unforgettable Russell and Dianne were the BEST top notch and professional beyond my imagination. I travel for a living and those two are the reasons I would stay at this property again. Considering the hotel is dated and in need of a serious renovation, great staff and customers service is a necessity for me. The breakfast was delicious as well plus the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Thanks Russell and Dianne I really enjoyed talking to you guys. I wish you lots of success in the future.
