Hollywood Casino at Greektown

"I spent one night at the Hollywood Casino at Greektown. I did not visit the casino. I was looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The hotel grounds were 4-stars. I arrived around 7 PM. It took some time to check in because I had to wait for a number of others who qualified for the VIP check-in line. I stayed in a basic, twin queen room. The room and bathroom were nice and modern. Shortly after getting into my room, bright exterior lights turned on - shining in the direction of my room. I couldn't see what they were illuminating, but if I had to guess, it was perhaps the hotel name written on the exterior. Those lights stayed on all night. The drapes didn't completely cover the windows, so my room was illuminated all night. The room stayed one temperature despite what the thermostat was set to. There was an intermittent hum coming from the in-wall heater as if it was revving up. I ultimately slept with earplugs. I am have been able to overlook the illuminated room, dysfunctional thermostat, and intermittent hum if I was there for other reasons than to sleep, like to visit the casino, or go out."

"Service: The hotel deducted two items for unknown reasons. The fees reached 600-700 yuan. Ctrip helped to contact them, but they only gave a reason for one of the deductions. The other two items were inexplicably said to be customer privacy. So why can one of them be given a reason, but not the other two? I had to call the hotel manager myself. They said they would reply within 48 hours, but I have waited for a week and still haven't replied. It's speechless. They deduct money randomly, so be careful."

"This hotel is popular with Detroit locals. The rooms are very clean, especially the soft and clean bedding. While a bit small and a little noisy downstairs, it doesn't detract from the experience. The bathroom and shower have a unique color scheme. Downstairs is the front desk and a coffee and snack area. You can sit outside, soak up the sun, sip a cup of coffee, and simply relax in the clean surroundings, enjoying the local atmosphere."
